I always fly the flag, regardless of the time of day or the weather. So far, these swivels have been absolutely the best swivels I have ever used. The flag used to get wrapped around the pole in even slight breezes. These new swivels have seen high winds, rain and snow since installed and the flag has yet to wrap around the pole. I know the cost is higher than other swivels, but you get what you pay for. Very well worth the cost.

I got a pair of these a year and six months ago. They stopped working about a week ago. I bought a second pair to put up my flag with. For the money I spent, I think they should last longer than that.I took the non working pair down and used some oil on the to free them up because they were pretty stiff. I don’t know how they were lubricated but I saw signs of oil or grease on the outside, very little though. After oil in them, the work good and are not rough when rotated.I figure I’ll just rotate them form one pair to the other pair as needed. To bad they don’t last.

Love these wish I knew earlier if you live in a windy area this is the go to!

Well made. Easily survived the summer flying a 2 1/2' x 4' flag on my boat, with speeds averaging 30-35 MPH, and on the boat on the water 24/7 all summer long.Had to buy another set so I could fly our America flag at my lake property‼️

I have it up 4 days and there have been 2 windy days. The flag got wrapped around the pole both times. (100% of the time). Not exactly the tangle free promise in the ad. I will see if, with time, it improves. I gave 4 stars for durability because I've only have it a short time. I bought a new pole that swivels to see if it helps. I am throwing everything I can get at it since I am a retired military patriot who flies the flag year round. The Stanwood swivel doesn't seem to be doing it for me. For the price, I expected a much better result. For now I can't recommend it.

Look no further. . . you've found it! These things REALLY WORK!After SUFFERING with regular aluminum flagpole rotating rings, I GAVE UP & bought these (at twice the price of the plain ones).Our flagpole is mounted on the front of the house, so it's important that the 3' x 5' flag look nice at all times. Mounted at a 45 degree angle, tangles were VERY frequent (3 to 5 times per day!). Our variable wind caused the flag to wrap itself around the flagpole, (sometimes 4 or 5 revolutions). Even though they were WELL MADE, the plain aluminum rings just weren't doing the job. I had to use a long pole to untangle the flag several times/day. It was tiresome & very frustrating.I tried everything to get the plain rings to work: "as-is" out of the box or lubed with graphite, WD-40, oil, or two different kinds of auto grease. Nothing worked. After struggling for over a year, it was definitely time for Plan B.A different DESIGN was needed.After putting these on the flagpole, I anxiously waited.Well, the results are as STARK as the difference between night and day!After 5 FULL MONTHS of use, I have had to untangle the flag ONLY 2 or 3 times TOTAL (rather than 3 to 5 times/DAY with the junk rings). And, it was just the tip of the flag which hung over the flagpole. Please note: at NO TIME did the flag wrap itself around the flagpole multiple times like it did when the standard/plain rings were used.And, these rings are just as good now as when I first put them up! They rotate very easily and smoothly-- that's why they WORK. These rings have stainless steel BEARINGS which makes all the difference in the world! NO lubrication ever needed. . . perfect right out of the box.These rings WORK SO WELL I'd give them 10 stars if I could!!!Don't WASTE YOUR MONEY (like I did!) on plain aluminum flagpole rings.BUY these because they WORK. They LAST.THEY REALLY ARE WORTH THE MONEY!

These Non Tangle Flagpole Swivels work great when you know what the trick is to get them to work properly.?The instructions specifically say which direction to mount the swivels on the pole. I installed them as per the instructions. They worked great for 2 days. After that, the flag started wrapping and twisting itself around the flagpole. I constantly had to go outside and unwrap it.The swivels didn’t work any better than the original plastic ones!I double checked the instructions to see if I overlooked a step. That wasn't the case. I installed them correctly.I tried everything, including re-adjusting the swivels to either make them closer or further apart from each other. I gave the bearings a shot of WD40. Nothing helped - it still got twisted.I finally solved the problem by turning the swivels in the opposite direction that the instructions said to.Eureka! That did the trick! They're working perfectly now.One other issue I have is that the size of the swivels won't allow the flag to fit or slide over them. It takes a little more time and effort to change flags, but well worth it. Far less than what I used to spend with the original plastic swivels.The product itself is quality made to last forever. It's heavy duty/commercial construction is far better than those cheap and poorly made imports on the market.This is an American company manufacturing a great product, here in the United States. I highly recommend them!

Not perfect. The flag still sometimes gets hung up. See photo. I'm thinking of figuring out how to add a weight to bottom of flag to help keep it hanging properly.I don't know about durability yet as it's only been in use a few weeks.
