The product works well and was shipped fast. I had 5 out of 6 work, but in my haste I inserted one of the first ones in backwards and goofed up. It would be wise to take your time and ensure the side with the least metal contact stripes (that I assume deliver the power) go into the small part of the pcie bracket...(duh), but it would be great if this part was designed to prevent the accidental insertion of it backwards and the subsequent user error that could possibly come from it being inserted in wrong way. I assume I'm not the only one who's possibly ran across this with other companies who make these risers. It was my first mining rig and I simply messed up. Hopefully people will read this and avoid making a similar mistake in the future. I think manufacturers could improve the design somewhat to prevent this from happening as the bigger side with the data contacts probably should be designed to not fit into the short side of the pcie slot that are for power delivery or at least warn noobs or old coots ahead a time with a note in the packaging how to ensure proper installation. Just take your time, be mindful, careful, and you should be okay. Benson was very helpful at KECAG and bent over backwards to make things right even though I was in the wrong. Good luck everyone!

Update: I think these are actually OK and I think my motherboard is doing something weird...I think that at least 3 of these are bad... I have 3 that work, and if I then plug in any of the 3 that I suspect are bad, then my computer doesn't see ANY cards. The soldering doesn't look that great, SMD components are quite crooked in some cases...

Work great, but they should come with 6pin to molex adapters, SATA connection is a weak link and heavy use will cause melting/burning, and possible fire. Honestly surprised SATA risers and risers with SATA adapters havent been recalled

Works great for my mining rigs. No noticeable difference between ver 6 and ver 7.

One dud out of every box. But the rest do as advertised

9 times out of ten, it is the risers.These worked at first, but by the end of the day didn't seem to work at all. Sending them back for some old school risers or something with a verifiable real history of good reviews.

Work very well. Onboard regulators/chokes are good if you have a large build with heavy/sudden power draw.

Buy this rather than the molex to sata adapter. I've ordered my second batch yesterday.

half were not working and the foam underneath peeled off on its own only to fall and stop my cpu cooler fan

I've used 9 out of the 12 I bought and found no issues so far it's a great product and I'll be buying more.
