Not a standard mold design for turf shoes. Good wide fitting shoes but not for every turf.
I thought these shoes would be the easiest shoe to break in. Fit good early on. I have a wider foot and normally wear Adidas Copa or Mudial Team. I have been playing indoor and outdoor soccer since I was 11. While lacing my new shows just before our indoor game on turf, a teammate of mine, told me I had better be careful with these shoes. I dismissed it. However, towards the end of the game I took a step backwards and went to make a diagonal run. My left shoe gripped the turf and didn't allow me to rotate my ankle to turn. I heard a loud "pop" and then had to be carried off the field. X-rays showed an avulsion fracture. In a boot for 3-4 weeks and out of playing soccer for 12 weeks. These turf soccer shoes might be good for certain short turf fields or maybe outdoor. Never had something like this happen to before playing indoor where another player was not involved.

Expensive but good
I have worked these shoes relatively hard this fall season, but only on grass fields. This is my second Diadora, and the sticker shock caught me this time. These new shoes have less open area to allow in moisture, so my feet stay dryer on the early due/wet grass. I actually used them for one half of a soccer game I officiated in a full downpour and I didn't get the usual slushy feeling in the shoes with these. The color seems not quite dark black but almost a deep dark bluish hew, but they say they are black. These shoes respond well to hard foot planting and changing direction. The sole of the shoe gives me good 360 degree traction. The only place I found them a bit inadequate was in squishy mud, but then what cleat would work as well. So far I really like them, but am curious how they perform on turf. I plan to add a caveat to this once I try the turf with them.Once last note is my feet require a wide show and they offered a 10.5 wide shoe, of which they delivered extreme comfort.

True to size and width
I've had trouble finding soccer turfs that weren't extra narrow. These fit true to size, comfortable in the toe box, but not too wide making them feel sloppy.

Is Narrower Compared to Older Diadora
I've been wearing Diadora Turf soccer shoes for over 5 years. When the sole came off after refereeing2 matches on turf on a sunny 100 plus degree it was time for new shoes. I purchased these Diadora Brasil Sala shoes to replace them. Sadly these are to narrow compared to my old shoes so I returned them.

A new allegiance
Ive always bought adidas copas for refereeing soccer in my area. These were a replacement as copas were unavailable when i needed a pair. Best switch I've made in a while. They arrived ready to wear with little break-in. The leather is soft and comfortable from day one. The tread is perfect for hard ground, turf or a wetter surface. I probably will stick with these shoes going forward.
