Finally! A precision made Brass claw that holds the springs perfectly, & looks great adding sustain!
If you're looking to upgrade your flimsy pot metal claw on your guitar, then you'll be very happy with this beautifully machined claw that is designed to actually hold the spring in special groove so the doggone springs don't shift and jitter. Instead the spring connection "rolls smoothly" in the machined catch. Because it's brass it's works silently with the spring steel.Incredibly I noticed that this will add just a bit of sustain that you didn't even know was there!I added "noise free" springs as well, and now it is silent using the tremolo arm. I was amazed at how quality springs and a brass Claw could be so quiet. NOT having those goofy mattress spring sounds creep into your pickups is actually big plusI'm totally please with this item. I should mention that the brass wood screws they include are really top notch and long enough to get the install done perfectly.10 stars on this one.!

Hefty; Well-crafted Piece Of Brass
I like its craftsmanship. Whether it actually does anything to tone - I cannot perceive. I did find it difficult to restrain the ground wire with the retaining screw, so, I put a terminal connector on the end of my wire and screwed it down with a Phillips head, in place of the original set screw.

not sure if these do anything for tone
I'm a sucker for anything to mod a guitar, so if you have the typical trem in your guitar, you probably have already put a larger trem block in, which i have. I have the large blocks for my floyd rose trems and i bought these music lily trem blocks for my goto trems. But this is the claw, which is usually this small thin flimsy looking piece of probably stainless steel that is screwed into the guitar body. So mainly to make it look more impressive, i decided to put this brass claw in. If you have a brass trem block, this does make the cavity look cleaner since both will be brass color. Other then that, i do not have the equipment or resources to actually test the frequency or duration if it even makes a difference in tone. I'm saying no, since it's sort of isolated by the springs anyways, which are still stock, or just noiseless springs. So a little pricey for a small piece of brass and two screws, but if you want every mod to your guitar and dont mind a very slight weight increase then there you go. Your mind will like it even if your friends dont detect it lol. It installs easily since it does have small screw to hold the ground wire if your guitar has that.

Nice
I can't say it adds to my tone or my sustain (per say). I do love how it looks and adds mass. I also love the way the ground hooks up. I had no problems with that. I will probably put this on all my trem guitars moving forward which is almost all of the guitars I own. I just like the design and pretty much hate the cheap claws that most typically come with tremolos. It's all cumulative so really, ya can't go wrong. Plus, it looks pretty damn cool
