It works - Definitely add some drops first though. Worth a tenner!
First time leaving an Amazon review, but I am happy. Sore, felt swollen inside ear started a month ago, got sorer. Tried olive oil drops, some wax removed, but not much. Tried Optex Express, more wax removed but not loads. Had confirmed at doctors definitely 100% blocked with wax. Long NHS waiting list or £55 at Specsavers. Second session with the spray kit (once daily) and the Optex first for ten minutes and a ear ball earring came out with wax. Cause found! So happy - instant relief and hearing back. I think plenty of wax to come but I feel the cause was found - see photo.

Great product
I don’t think I’ve ever left a review but this is absolutely fantastic - my 6 yr old boy has narrow ear canals and struggles with blocked ears - we used it for the first time yesterday and it’s completely cleared his ears ! Was quite shocked at how much wax came out - it was really easy to use and my son was very comfortable using it it didn’t cause any discomfort - highly recommend this product !

Ear Wax Removal Tool
The Ear Wax Removal Tool by Tilcare is a comprehensive ear irrigation and cleaning system designed for both adults and kids. Having used this product, I am impressed by its thoughtful design and effectiveness. **What's Included:** The kit comes with a basin, syringe, curette kit, towel, and 30 disposable tips. Each component plays a vital role in ensuring a thorough and safe ear cleaning process. **Ease of Use:** One of the standout features is the user-friendly design. The syringe provides sufficient pressure to dislodge stubborn ear wax without causing discomfort. The basin is well-sized and prevents any mess, which is especially helpful when cleaning children's ears. The inclusion of a towel is a nice touch, making cleanup easy. **Effectiveness:** The ear irrigation system works remarkably well. After a few uses, it significantly improved my hearing clarity and comfort. The curette kit, with its various tools, is useful for safely removing any remaining wax that the irrigation might miss. **Safety:** Safety is a top priority with this kit. The 30 disposable tips ensure a hygienic experience, reducing the risk of infection. The design of the syringe and curette tools is such that it minimizes the chance of ear damage, making it safe for use on children under supervision. **Overall Experience:** The Tilcare Ear Wax Removal Tool is an excellent investment for anyone dealing with ear wax buildup. It's comprehensive, easy to use, and highly effective. While it might be a bit pricier than basic kits, the quality and peace of mind it provides are well worth the cost. I highly recommend this product for both personal use and for families with kids.

Worked on my 4 year old!
My 4 year old daughter who was suffering from ear pain had a very blocked ear. After using ear drops as advised by our GP for 3 weeks, there was little to no improvement. I was considering taking her to see a specialist and pay around £90 but eventually realised that most of the time all they do is use a targeted water gun/squirter. After some research I took a leap of faith and decided to try on my one. I knew that she had a particular deep blocked ear as the GP had told me and so I waited for her shower time where I could be more generous with how much I squirt into her ear. I used ear drops on her 10 minutes before bath to give me the best possible chance to dislodge the ear wax. Whilst in the shower, I had her sit down, I inserted the nozzle into her ear carefully, fairly deep and whilst keeping it there I tilted her head down so the water can fall out naturally. I was shocked to see that she merely found it ticklish rather than uncomfortable even after spraying loads and loads of water in her ear! I used warm water from the shower, no special liquid, and after using about 1 and half bottles of water, I managed to dislodge both ears full of wax. It took a while and required some patience but you just need to keep at it and ensure the placement of the nozzle is right along with their head tilted down. Save your money on going to a specialist, buy one of these kits, start off slowly and once your child is comfortable, you can be more generous with the water. I'm so happy with this purchase, did exactly what I needed and not to mention comes with loads of kit!

Ear Wax: War was declared!
I bought this brand as it seemed good value, and came with a full set of disposable tips. It's a comprehensive kit You will need to order the white vinegar to mix up the recommended syringing solution I also got some Otex to get a quick start on breaking down the ear wax. The 3* is because the quality is "just good enough". So the supposedly re-sealable storage bag fell apart as I opened it, the plastic catches on the very thin tool kit box wouldn't open without recourse to a knife, and the tools themselves are all metal - Chinese quality. They look potentially damaging if you're not careful. Some brands use silicon tips for their tools. These look to be stainless steel, with some very aggressive ends. The corkscrew-looking spiral device is particularly scary! The winner for me was the Otex solution. It nuked the wax really well, and made the wax removal straightforward GPs charge for doing this procedure now, so it all paid for itself on its first use. But I might invest in some quality tools.

First off I will say I am a retired registered nurse who has done a good number of ear irrigations over the years. I found this kit to be easy to use and effective for ear wax removal. I was surprised by all the pieces of equipment it contained and the reasonable price. I would caution that anyone with a damaged eardrum, tubes in their ears, infection or other ear problems should check with their doctor before using it. I also would be cautious about using the metal instrument in this kit as they could cause some serious damage in unskilled hands. There are several methods for ear irrigation, but the one that I use is to obtain a bottle of generic ear wax removal oil, warm the bottle of oil by placing it in a dish of warm water for a few minutes (cold ear drops can sometimes cause nausea and dizziness). I put approximately 3 drops of the warmed oil into the ear and place a piece of cotton into the ear canal so the oil doesn’t run out, then I repeat the procedure for the other ear. I wait at least an hour (or longer if there is severe wax build up) so the warmed oil has a chance to soften the ear wax somewhat. Then I remove the cotton balls, pull the earlobe to straighten the ear canal somewhat and use a pen light or flash light to look into the ear canal to see where and how much blockage there is so I’ll know if the irrigation later is actually breaking up the ear wax. I fill the irrigation spray bottle with warm (not hot) tap water and use the flexible tube with tip and round splash guard. Use of the flexible tube tip requires two hands, one to hold and spray the bottle and one to hold the tip in the ear canal, but a person doing the irrigation on themself might find the solid rod type tip easier to use since you don’t need to hold the tip in the ear canal with a separate hand. I have my subject hold the cup under the ear, place a towel over the shoulder to catch any drips, and pump the spray bottle multiple times. It is important not to totally block the ear canal with the spray nozzle as the used water and wax needs to have a path to flow out of the ear canal as fresh water enters. It usually takes a number of pumps, but usually there will be small pieces of ear wax flowing into the cup. It probably will not be the main ear wax plug, however. I take a pen light or flash light and look in the ear and can usually tell if I am making progress. Then I just continue irrigating the ear canal and checking it periodically until it appears clean and unblocked which can take quite a bit of irrigating. Sometimes a large part of the ear wax plug remains intact and just moves closer to the entrance of the ear canal and can be easily seen. The fluid stream from the spray bottle isn’t always strong enough to wash it out. That’s when I find one of the metal instruments like the ear spoon may be helpful to carefully remove the plug if it’s lodged near the entry to the ear canal. If you have gone through the whole cleaning procedure and feel you haven’t been successful, it may be helpful to repeat the the ear wax oil instillation/cotton balls part and leave it in overnight, then try the irrigation again the next day. If that still doesn’t work, it is likely time to see a medical professional for some help. This is just the method I have found useful, but there are other methods using different irrigation solutions and different techniques. Bottom line, I would recommend this kit. It is easy to use, I found it effective in removing significant ear wax blockages, and I thought it was well priced.
