These K&N Engine Air-filters are worth every penny in the long run!
It's my recommendation that K&N engine air filters be installed in EVERY vehicle they make them for that you care about. It's been my experience that they provide FAR superior filtration, throughput, AND obviously last for FAR longer than the flimsy disposable ones on account of them being washable/reusable. Unlike a lot of things out there, these are very low maintenance, especially considering how long they last.Yes, they are pricey, but only initially. To see their true value, you gotta look at their effect over the course of their lifetime & at how many disposable ones you're no longer purchasing. These are especially valuable in very dusty climates where you'd otherwise end up replacing the disposable ones1-3 times a year.(OR MORE!) I've not come across any other brand/company making a comparable air filter, let alone a cheap one!

Love k&n products
I ordered this filter to replace the old fashioned paper filter in my 94 bronco 5.8 liter.I have always been a fan of k&n products and I wanted to upgrade the air intake on my vehicle. I was torn as to whether or not I wanted just a drop in filter or pony up another 190.00 for the entire intake kit, but, the general consensus is that on these vehicles the drop in is actually better due to the factory intake having the cold air inlet routed under the hood. Sure with the intake kit you would have the advantage of breather more air in, but, it would be hot engine bay air.I've had an intake on my mustang and it made a night and day difference. I've had k&n drop ins in a few other vehicles and it didnt seem to do much but the combination on my bronco has made a big difference because now it can breathe easier and has the advantage of still taking in cooler air.I've seen better throttle response in combination with taking off one of my cats and replacing the stock muffler with a flowmaster. Additionally, I am happy to report that the engine is running more efficiently and while it's not much I am getting .2mpg better in my bronco that only gets about 14 highway to begin with. This filter will truly pay for itself In the long run.

It's K&N, what more do you need...
...perfect fit for my 89 Bronco. Right of the bet, maybe-maybe not, but I think the truck is running a little better. with time I should be able to report back and update this review, but well worth it, have used on my previous vehicles and motorcycles.

ok here is the BAD.......But its not 2 Bad....lol
ok lets be honest this is one of the better Filters you can BUY.......the price kinda Sucks and it used to be guaranteed for life.....I know I have 8 others of the Lifers and U bet ur ass I will Hold them to it if need be......But sadly the New Filters are only 10 yrs or a million Miles......well I have over 350k on 4 of the filters and they are 15-20 yrs old......2 of them the rubber is going so I am about to bust some ass and see if K&N keeps their word! OK lets get back to this filter.......They are a bit Different than the Original K&N Filters they are clearly NOT using the original SPECS.......BUT I cant tell if that is a bad or Good thing yet........what I dont like is the OIL that comes with the FILTER now is NO WHERE NEAR ENOUGH to do the JOB right........GOOD thing I have plenty BC what they give you .........for some one like me going into COW Pastures & Dusty areas it would not be enough..........for the average JOE or JANE it should be ok just GO slow when using oil. what I do after Cleaning and I wont tell yall what we use BC K&N will void your warranty.....BUT when do USE Marvel Mystery oil to replace the OIL they charge 4x as Much for and .............it works Better & Longer!! OLD MAN!

Perfect fit
Fit my 1990 Ford F-250 XLT Lariat 4x4 7.5L EFI perfectly. Had a brand new standard Fram filter when I switched and noticed a big difference in throttle response and overall power.

Went Green, by Accident
True to the K&N name, using this filter in my 1996 Ford F-250 (XLT, 460, manual) scored me 2mpg on the first full tank. My test wasn’t scientific and temps aren’t cold enough to require a longer warm-up so perhaps that played a big factor.I’ve always purchased K&N filters for my vehicles because of their “re-use-ability”. It saves me money and keeps a dirty filter from the landfill. I can’t speak as to the horsepower gains because I don’t have a dyno and, honestly, I don’t care about horsepower as much as I do burning through less fuel and fewer filters.
