You wouldn't know this is high-fiber pasta
A lot of high-fiber pastas have a difficult mouth feel. We have been happy to find the line of Good Wheat pastas. They are the closest thing to refined pasta we've found in terms of taste and "chew." Guests have had no idea the pasta has significant fiber content. Obviously, this is a product that contains gluten, so if gluten-free is what you need, this isn't for you. We've transitioned entirely to Good Wheat for all our everyday pasta dishes. Thrilled that these products are available!

Bolognese Worthy!
Take it from an Italian who spends all day making THE SAUCE -- this pasta is legit. It's not like those other "healthy" pastas that fall apart, get slimy and ruin the sauce you spent all day making. I'm looking at you, Banza. GoodWheat tastes just like regular pasta but it's not enriched with weird extra ingredients.I'm doing a lot more label reading these days and the first thing that caught my eye is it's a single-ingredient product --they didn't add anything to make it higher in fiber. How? They invented a whole new, more nutritious wheat crop that grows up strong with 4x more fiber in the grain. Most wheat products in this country are so denatured and offer little nutritional value, no wonder we have all these health issues. It's about time a company started over to fix the root of the problem and take a hard look at the ingredients they're growing. As a mom I'm always trying to find ways to add fiber to my family's diet. So if we can get our fiber in our pasta, and eat a spaghetti dinner without the bloat, I'm pretty much feeling like a hero.

Tasty Pasta, Fun Variety of Shapes - Takes a Bit Longer to Boil to Al Dente
Of the many meals that our family goes through, pasta is the fastest and easiest meal to make that is sure to please. The GoodWheat Single Ingredient Wheat Pasta is a great pasta if you're looking for a pasta that has a small boost of dietary fiber, additional protein, and tastes good. The pasta takes a bit longer to boil in comparison to standard penne. Instead of 7 minutes, I found that the pasta was al dente at about 15 minutes, but the kids thought it was better at around 17-18 minutes. The pasta definitely had a more pronounced "healthy" flavor, which I can only attribute to the fact that it was whole wheat. It tasted great with pasta sauce or when tossed with a light vinaigrette and vegetables. The wheat flavor was a bit more pronounced, but like whole wheat bread, it wasn't so strong that it overtook the flavor of lighter vinaigrettes or sauces. I liked how this particular set comes with a variety of shapes so I was able to try out different recipes for each pasta. While the flavor didn't change, the types of sauces could, and these pastas worked well with a variety of sauces. After comparing the amount of fiber and protein to a different brand of pasta I had in my cupboard, I found that the pasta does indeed have 8 grams of fiber to the 2 grams in the standard pasta. It also has 9 grams of protein in comparison to the 6 grams my standard pasta contains. I'm not sure if the 4x the amount of fiber is worth the 4x the cost per packet or the additional cook time. If I had a particularly picky eater, this may be worth the purchase, but for our family who eats everything, the cost per packet of spaghetti is the main deterrent that would keep me from purchasing this pasta again. Overall, if you're looking for pasta with a minor protein and fiber boost and don't mind a longer cook time, this is a good option to consider.

GREAT tasting Pasta for a finicky diabetic husband
When my hubby was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes it was a HUGE struggle to find food that he would eat. We are HUGE pasta eaters so it is a staple in our house. I tried all kinds of pasta and they were either grainy, chewy or tasted horrible. I was hesitant to try GoodWheat but figured I'd give it a shot. OMW!! BEST pasta out there! Even my adult children love it. They didn't even know it was a wheat pasta. If you have finicky kids or spouse.......this is something you DEFINITELY need to try. You will NOT be disappointed.

Tasty and filling!
I have a special needs son who is ALWAYS hungry and a toddler who hates everything. This pasta won both of them over! My hungry one was full after one bowl, and my other asked for more! Win all around. My family will be buying again.
