The author hits it off again
The earth is on its last legs. Global catastrophe is on the increase, and even the last remaining Safetrek facility is in danger. Infinity is bridging for the last time, The plan is in place to go the earth that deviated 20 years from ours, but a super-tornado forces them to bridge under duress, and they land in an earth nothing like the one they left. In fact, they land in a world that appears to be solely inhabited by arthropods. Can they find what they need to survive? Can they defend themselves against some bizarre predators? And what the heck is that hive mind that seems to be able to communicate? This is another good addition to the series, maybe my favourite after the first. The tornado at the start is great, and the riots at Safetrek are intense, The world they land in is amazing, with arthropods growing to impressive sizes (read the book before you lambaste me with your science. The cast of characters is limited to about 20, so we get to know people better than just before they popped their clogs, like in the other books. So in a nutshell, the book is exciting, fast (I read it in a couple of days), with a badass heroine who pulls no punches, literally or figuratively.4.5/5 stars

Amazing
Mr. Smith did not disappoint me with this book. It kept my interest from beginning to end. I had to force myself to put it down not only to go to bed but to eat. It made me think about what earth could have been. It amazed me at how they figured out what they needed to do to survive. The creatures on this earth were awesome. I loved hearing how the characters became who they are. I have also read Infusion, Diffusion and Profusion. Those were awesome. It is neat to think about how things could be and how things involved to today. It amazes me to think of how things were at creation and how people learned to create things to make their lives better and eventually here we are today. These books made me think of how life could be on other plants or other dimensions and how other life forms evolve if they exist. This book really made me think about it with reading about how they found natural things to use to survive. How they learned to coexist even though they were so different. The courage it took for them to even move much less try to eat things they had no idea if they were safe to eat or not. I am not one who likes to try different foods so I was wondering how I would react being there and having to eat something strange or else die. Mr. Smith has an awesome and creative imagination. I can't wait for more books to come out. I would love to see how they continue living on the new earth as well as how Infinity and Desmond rescue the others on the other destination earths. I am curious to see if any modern conveniences make it to the colony and watch as the colony becomes a modern civilization or if they decide to keep things the way they are. I would think they would want their children to have the opportunity to go to school and college at some point but then maybe return home. I am also curious if any other people join the original colonists to live and if Infinity ever has a baby. There are so many possibilities. I can’t wait to see what comes next.

Prodigious imagination and creativity!
“Every world is paradise to some creatures and hell to others. You just have to be the right creature. Humans aren’t powerful or indestructible, but we are adaptable. That’s our strength.”A biological creativity, with bizarre and frightening details, Stan has a prodigious imagination! Each installment is more gripping, gritty, with fascinating fearsome creatures, filling you with trepidation, edge of the seat and nerve wrecking scenes. Fast paced with no respite for the protagonists nor for the readers. Great world building and credibility. Excellent characters, full of resilience, perseverance, with a fearless and tough kickbutt heroine, Infinity. As much as this series scares me out, I’m more and more drawn to it. Hopefully , it’s not the last installment.

The journey of the bridgers
I have been waiting for this book. Stan C. Smith does not disappoint with the continuation of the series, and the story of what happens when the earth is doomed, but some have a chance to start again somewhere else. The immense imagination of this author has me captured book after book. I have read every one he had written.
