This stoneware bowl seems very sturdy, and the pretty design adds some fun and beauty to a utilitarian object. The handle provides a good grip for tilting and pouring, and the spout pours well. The thickest batter doesn't flow so well, but the spout helps direct it where it needs to go, if you push it along with a spoon. The size is just right for waffles and pancakes. Today I'm going to try it with banana bread batter!

This is a beautiful and functional bowl. It is naturally stain resistant. Although I have only been using it for a few months it appears durable and well designed. It holds more than six cups. If you are going to mix, beat, or fold I would use it for recipes of four cups or less. Please understand that if I can slop, plop, or drop I will so I require more room than the more coordinated.

So fun to add this to my kitchen. You’ll feel luxurious with this on your counter.

An outstanding Mason Cash batter bowl. Not only is it the prettiest design they make, In the Forest, seems sturdier than other Mason Cash designs. It also costs a little more but is worth it just for the enjoyment I have using it. I highly recommend!

I gave this as a gift, and the recipient really liked it. She said there was a very nice ivory-like finish/look to it, and it was well made.

I purchased this batter bowl as a Christmas gift for my pancake-making husband and he was absolutely thrilled. The heavy ceramic bowl is neither too large nor too small for whipping up Sunday morning pancakes for two. My only complaint is that the handle is too small and set too low on the bowl to confidently and securely use to pour the batter directly onto the grill. However, I didn't buy this to be used as a workhorse utility bowl, but more as a display piece in the kitchen. It's beautiful and esthetically pleasing. Exactly what I wanted.

This was clearly described as a 4 quart bowl, but is in reality a 2 quart bowl. It is beautiful and appears to be of nice quality, but I need the larger size bowl. I wanted to keep it anyway, but for the price. I was okay with the price had it been the correct size, but sent it back to find a 4 quart bowl.Also, it has a sticker on the bottom noting that it is made in China (not UK) if that matters to you.
