Fun and beautiful project
This kit is gorgeous, and the pieces look exactly like what you see in the item pictures. It's fun to put together--fiddly, but not difficult. Having tweezers and toothpicks on hand to manipulate/apply glue to some of the smaller pieces is helpful. The instructions were clear enough, and there are opportunities in various places to add your own, personal touches (I replaced some of the pieces with my own, as you can see in the picture). My kit did not arrive sealed, and some of the pieces were missing. The company was quick to respond and ship out replacement parts, but as they were coming from China, they did take several weeks to arrive. Even after all of that, the included screwdriver was still defective. As this is my first purchase from them, I don't know how common this is, but something to consider if you're giving it as a gift or otherwise need it by a certain time.Overall, I enjoyed both putting the project together and how the finished product came out.

So beautiful, difficult and fun to build
The media could not be loaded. I love the level of detail. I love the touch activated light.I love that it was fun and hard to build. Very engaging and exciting to build.I love building sets and models and the more difficult ones like this are so fun.Came out super cute. You will need craft glue (it says so in the instructions but I figured it would be good to know before)I did break one small thing butttt you can’t even see that it’s missing.

Sturdy, easy to build, hours of fun, looks great!
I gave this to my mother for Christmas-- she loves these kinds of kits. Previously she'd made Sam's Study from a different manufacturer and had fun with that, but she liked this even better. We were both impressed that the walls were cut from wood, not flimsy at all, and that the materials were high quality. There were tons of little details to assemble that she enjoyed & that let her play with the look of it/put her individual stamp on the final product. The light was also easy to install! (With Sam's Study she had to order that separately.)She did have to buy glue for it, that wasn't included. It took her about three months to finish, working on it when she felt like it on weekends. She said it was "time-consuming in the best way." I'm getting her another kit from this maker for her birthday!

The library we all want to to have
This is a fabulous book nook.It is the right balance of detail and difficulty. If you are a beginner, this will work well. The pieces are labeled well and are easy to remove and construct. You make a lot of little books for this. They provide the blank for the book "pages" and a variety of covers. I wanted to personalize the library, so I printed a variety of book covers. Lesson learned - if you want your book covers to show, you need to have well defined book spines, or place the books at odd angles. The art provided for the walls was good, but again, I wanted to personalize it. To do the personalization, I measured everything carefully to make templates. I took pictures of some of my books, and got others from the internet. I then printed on thin photo paper, cut out and glued together.Pro Tips. In making the books, having an engraving tool of some sort is helpful in folding the book covers. I had a tool from my cricut, but dull pencil on the back worked pretty well also. The only drawback on this kit is that the light switch is on the back of the kit, which makes it hard to turn on.Overall, a very nice kit that looks great when completed.

Glue not included
I love this, it's gorgeous and the instructions are clear. However, be advised that it needs glue and the glue is not included!

GREAT for gifts!
I gave my wife one of these for xmas, and she absolutely loved it! Shes kind of a book-worm, so this was perfect for her bookshelf. It was fun to build and pretty simple to assemble. Putting the individual books together was a bit daunting, but the final product made it all worth it.As for quality, the pieces are very thin and sort of fragile (but thats the case with most dyi models), but over all pretty solid in construction. Well worth every penny, and kept my wife busy for a month! My only real gripe about it is, the light switch is in the bottom back of it, so turning it on & off can be kind of a pain having to pull it out of the bookshelf every time. Otherwise, it was a successful purchase, and the perfect gift! I'd recommend it to anyone!

Really great product!!
This is such a great gift!! I bought it for a family member and wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was great quality. It was easy to punch out the pieces as long as you have a gentle hand . Fair warning - If you don’t like to assemble stuff, this isn’t for you, but if you’re like me and love a challenge, this is super fun!!It does take lots of time to assemble, but that was fun for me. The pieces were surprisingly easy to punch out of the planks provided, as long as you’re careful. Super glue was so necessary (like 3 bottles) to get everything glued together. It takes many hours to assemble this book nook, but if you’re like me and love to put stuff together, that’s half the fun!!It’s so cute and I totally recommend it! But pro tip: do not take the protective sheet off the mirror until you’re done with gluing. I managed to get glue on the mirror like a dummy and needed nail polish remover to get it off before I could proceed.

It’s very beautiful BUT….
Item was really fun to put together. It was my first book nook, so I expected to have little hiccups however, some of the items were marked incorrectly. For example, some of the items were labeled in instruction book as sheet F and they were actually on the sheet of A. So that slowed me down a bit.Other than that I was very happy with product!

Fun to Build
Built this so my girlfriend could have a nice cozy library. :)Instructions are ok and the wiring wasn't too bad either but it is finicky. Definitely take care to line up the objects that are glued to the wall otherwise you'll have a hard time fitting the walls together. This happened on the last wall when I glued the 2nd floor bookcase to the wall, I got it to work but it took a bit of force to get it together.Very happy with the result though and my girlfriend loves it.It would be nice if the light switch was near the front so you don't have to take it out and turn on the light. An option to plug it into the wall would be nice too (USB cable or something along those lines, rather than waste batteries).

Very Cute but Parts Break Easily
I love the look now that it is done but my goodness did this make me mad. I have made other booknooks and this one was sooooo infuriating. AND to make things worse, in the instruction booklet some of the pieces are labelled incorrectly!!! Where it says F# its actually means A#… urrrrrg. With all that being said, it is very cute and looks good on my shelf.
