Last book in series
This was the last book in the series and it did not disappoint. There are some characters i would have liked to see make it to the end.... But this whole series was just awesome. Worth every min.

Happy with the ending
I am trying to put into words how I feel about this book. The conclusion to this series, I think, was overall satisfying, and what I was hoping for. One thing I don't like with books is too many POVs. And while I REALLY wanted to know what happened with all the side characters (Caden/Birdie, Killian/Rosie, and Scorpion/Hanna), I often times felt myself going "wait, WHO is this again?" and having to go back to the beginning of the chapter to see whose POV it was. I will say that the story did flow well, and with them being all together, it wasn't jumping around from place to place, and timeline to timeline. With there being so many POVs, I also kind of felt detached from the main characters of Brexley and Warwick. I knew (or at least hoped), they'd get their HEA, so I wasn't really as invested in them, this time around. As much as it pains me to say, I felt like the Killian/Rosie storyline was too rushed. I feel like they didn't get to spend enough time together before it was all "ILY" (I'm not a big fan of instant love...but that's just me!). At least with Caden/Birdie and Scorpion/Hanna, they spent TIME together, when Caden and Hanna were "captives"...even if we didn't get to really see that. I wish we got a little more fleshed out storyline for Killian and Rosie.Overall, the story was great. Pacing for it was great. The ending was what I, and I'm sure many readers, were hoping for. I do hope we get to see more of Ash in the future! Solid 4 stars.

10/10 highly recommend!
I absolutely ADORE this entire series and Shadow Lands was the thickest one filled with so much action and changing POVās (which I love)! It was hard to put down. If you like paranormal romance with tons of spice, donāt miss out on this series!

I am 50/50 on this one
3.75 starsEven though I liked this one more than the last book, I still felt like this was way dragged out like the previous one. It felt like similar things were happening. Threats were the same. Certain conversations were the same. Again it got very repetitive, and I felt like I seen it before. There were moments of fresh air with new information brought forth, but that was few and far between. What I thought was interesting though, was in this book there were multiple POVs unlike the previous books it was just Brexley. I did appreciate getting in the heads of Killian, Caden, etc. and seeing how they ticked. Just how all there were dealing with things and just seeing it from another complex angle of the world they were in. Though there were similarities, there were unique too because of their own experience, and I really liked that.My problem though was each of the āromancesā that came from each of the POVs. Though it was hinted who was going to end up with who, the relationships were kind of fast tracked with little emotional development. It was more about the sexual part of the relationship. It was hard to believe it because so much emphasis was there. There just needed to be more time to develop and be its own breathing thing. It was hard to be invested in a couple when really things were only shown in this book in detail. There were five previous book, but there was none of that until one.I thought there was way too much smut. Aside from Brexley and Warwick, I really didnāt care for the sexy scenes between the couples. It partially had to do with the lack of emotional intimacy and development each of the couples had, but mainly it was like all the smutty scenes were the same no matter who the couple was. It was always raw, animalistic, and rough romps that would happen in various places. They were always done out of anger or to work something out of their systems. It felt like it was done out of feelings or just intimacy for the sake of it. It was way too much. After a while, I would just roll my eyes and hoped it would be over as quickly as possible because to me they didnāt add value. It felt like smut for the sake of smut. I wasnāt a fan of that. Now Warwick and Brexley were great as usual. They had that connection and protectiveness that they had in other books, but this was upped to another level. Yes, there was a lot of sexy stuff happening, but there was also a new level of intimacy there that was great to see. Even if it was just a little bit, it was satisfying to have in there. They just were the true meaning of the word fated mates. They were definitely the highlight to the series.

So much heartache in this one
Book 6 was as to be expected in this series, awesome! A few things to be ironed out but thatāll be for the 7th book. Seems like everything tries to bring this group down. A few new characters like Esmeralda. Sheās funny. Hope sheās not merely a vessel for Tad Iād like to see more of her. Bad asses from other series come to play to get rid of the vermin in this instalment. Dark dweller Eli and Ember from the first series come and lend a hand to finally get rid of Istvan and his mindless groups. We have some casualties in this war that broke my heart but also some new couples.. next up is book 7 and itās Ashās revenge on Sonia and Iain for killing his loves. Canāt wait to see Ash pissed off!

Sad this chapter is closed, but enjoyed this end. Love this world SO much
I love SMBās fae world. I was so invested in this series (and prequels). Felt a bit sad that this series was ending, but also seemed like a good end point. I LOVED the side characters in this series, was so happy we got more of their stories and POVs! LOVED Scorpion. I felt so much for these characters, and it was an emotional rollercoaster. Was not the biggest fan of Caleb turning into a mini Warwick, kind of wanted him to be his own, but that is just IMO. The found family trope was on point, but there are so many other tropes! It as it all. The pacing on this book was good, there was A LOT going on. Felt a little like trying to fit 4 books in one. Wouldnāt have minded instead a couple single POV books from āsideā characters (done in West style). The spice was kicked up a notch - totally here for that. Would have loved a bit more character driven parts but there was just so much happening plot wise. Really excited Stacey left some open part This was an amazing series, it hooked me, I recommend it everyone. So good.

A worthy ending
This series has been amazing.Brown has led my heart and mind on such roller coasters throughout all of the Savage Lands series. The previous series of Darkness, Lightness, and Collectors were the same. I love her writing, I love her characters, I love her plots and I cannot wait for the Croygen book to come out because I have to have more. But Savage Lands is by far my favourite of her series.Shadow Lands was an ending to a series, and it felt like one done well. Our main characters had finality with their stories, there were no open endings. It felt good.We have surprise team members from her other series, and their inclusion fits. Opie and Bitzy offer comedic relief that is not overdone. The culmination of love interests make sense for each relationship. At the middle of it all are Kovacs and Farkas, The Grey and The Wolf. Brexley and Warwickās pull towards each other and unforgiving need to make sure they survive is so grey in its nature. They are the grey, together. In this book they finally give in and acknowledge that they are each otherās end game. Nothing, not even themselves, can keep them apart any longer. The overall struggle to bring stabilisation to the Eastern Bloc comes to a head in an epic battle, just like the battle that brought the wall down between the mortal lands and Faerie. Brown pulls and rips us apart with anticipation, hope, anguish and need as we watch whether our team of heroes prevail over the two big bads. Yes, two big bads. The juxtaposition of the Eastern Bloc with its perpetual struggle against dangers within and the Unified Nations as a stable and thriving area with good leadership is gritty and nuanced. The Eastern Bloc is proud and Brown's writing of Hungarian, Czech, Slovakian and Ukrainian peoples' fortitude in adversity was well portrayed.

What an ending
When you fall in love with a series and you know the last book is coming I sometimes get this fear that the ending isnāt going to live up to what I want. Although I canāt say that I know how I wanted this to end. This series has had me gripped since I picked it up in February. Itās been a rollercoaster of a ride, with so many plot twists/ WTF moments and cliffhanger hangers, that I immediately needed to read the next one.I cannot fully formulate a complete review without spoilers but OMG it did not disappoint. The world that Stacey has created is breathtaking. Her characters are unique, beautiful, stubborn, morally grey, loveable, strong, powerful. They suck you in and leave you wanting to protect them at all costs. My heart is broken and full at the same time. I laughed, I cried, Shadow Lands was a ending worthy of these characters, this story, this series.

Wow, wow, wow, wow... Stacey has done it again!
If I could give this book and series 100 stars, I would!I have read and loved all of Stacey's books and when her Savage Lands series started, I wasn't sure how I'd bond with a whole new cast in a world I'd loved for years.Ā But love it I do... with a passion.Ā I've been chomping at the bit for this book, to see how it would all play out, but when it popped into my library, I didn't want to start because I knew it would mean the end...Each and every book exceeds the previous books brilliance, which is not a feat many authors suceed at.Ā But you will never have that worry with Stacey's books.Ā They will have you smiling, giggling, laughing out loud. They will have you biting your nails with nerves... heart pumping and toes twitching with adrenaline, and I'm not talking about just the fast action fighting to the death scenes either.... ;-DSavage Lands is a series that parallels life on Earth at the moment in so many unfortunate ways.Ā It's about a country, a place, an existence that seems too harsh for anyone to overcome.Ā It's about the incidious evil of greed and untimate power that warps the minds and souls of those who respect no other life than their own, yet rule over so many. But it's also a story about never giving up, even in the face of defeat, even when you think that there is no more fight left.Ā It's a story of courage, of being brave even if terror has it's hold on you.Ā It's about finding others who will stand at your side, who will have your back and be your rock when you need it and theirs when they need you.Ā It's a story of hope and love.Ā A story of accountability and owning your flaws while doing your best to be and do better.Ā Deep, I know!Ā LolThis series has everything....It's a 'coming of age' story.Ā It's a NSFW love story.Ā It's drama and suspence story at Defcon 1.It's a suffering and heartbreak story. It's a high intesity action story. It's a resilience & eternal hope story. And so much more.I cannot recommend these books enough.

5 star series overall
I loved this whole series. The magic and political system was interesting, the spicy was spicin and the banter and found family was just *chefs kiss* . I'm sad it's over but excited to delve into SMB's other series!!Read if you like~ enemies to lovers/slow burn to scorching~ dystopian vibes~ found family~ plot twists and chaotic action scenes~ dobby the house elfMy only slight criticism is there are moments where the spice feels a bit inappropriate but it also makes sense given the characters (don't want to say more to spoil anything but I'm super interested to here your thoughts on this).Do check your trigger warnings as there are many dark themes in this series
