Great Banana Plugs!
These FosPower banana plugs work very well. I have used dozens of these great FosPower banana plugs over the years, and they definitely work as advertised. When comparing apples to apples (or bananas in this case....lol), all Banana plugs work virtually the same way, and these banana plugs are no different. Strip speaker wire, unscrew banana plug cover, loosen speaker wire retaining screw(s), insert speaker wire, tighten speaker wire retaining screw(s), screw on banana plug cover, and wallah, a secure/conductive speaker/amplifier wire connector is created. Albeit, some banana plugs require the speaker wire to be splayed over a hollow post, and then they are held down by a screw-on retainer/cover. However, I much prefer these FosPower dual retaining screw type of banana plugs for their speaker wire holding ability. I always use high quality 14 gauge OFC speaker wire with these FosPower banana plugs, and they work perfectly together. I have used these FosPower banana plugs with many different speaker and amplifier brands over the years, including Klipsch, Pioneer, Polk, Denon, Dayton Audio, and Fosi with no problems at all. They just work, and work well. I have never had a FosPower banana plug break, release the speaker wire or short out, in all of the years that I have used them. Yes, these FosPower banana plugs do fit rather tightly into the connectors, at first, on a lot of speaker and amplifier brands/models. However, after the initial "squeeze" the banana plugs will lossen up, and become easier to install and remove. However, they still retain their great holding ability even after the initial squeeze. In order to overcome this initial "tightness," I usually just stick the FosPower banana plugs into a connector of an old portable amplifier, before assembling them, in order to squeeze them before inserting them into their final speaker or amplifier destinations. This is especially useful when working in tight places, where there is not much room to work in order to push the FosPower banana plugs into their tight connections firmly. Overall, I highly recommend these FosPower banana plugs. I am currently using them all over the house and shop for home theater and music listening (and testing projects). Just be aware of the tight fit in some speakers and amplifiers. Also, the 2 very tiny speaker wire retaining screws can be a challenge sometimes. Just use a good standard blade jewelers screwdriver, and be careful not to remove the retaining screws all of the way or over-tighten them. Once these things are mastered, using these FosPower banana plugs becomes second nature. Have fun!

Very easy to use
I have an Onkyo audio/video receiver along with an Emotiva amplifier. Both have speaker "post" terminals which will accept banana plugs, OR I can connect the speaker wires by unscrewing the posts, poke the speaker wires into the terminals and then tighten the posts. The problem with poking the wires into the terminals and tightening the posts vs using banana plugs is that there is a risk of the wires touching the metal on the back of the chassis or touching other speaker wires, causing a short if one is not careful. With banana plugs, they simply plug into the back/top of the posts, eliminating the rsick of a short circuit. They can also be unplugged very easily if needed. Banana plugs are DEFINITELY the preferred way to connect speakers to an receiver or amplifier if they have post-style terminals. These particular banana plugs came in a package of 12 I believe. They were very reasonably priced, and simple to connect to the end of the speaker wires. Simply unscrew the banana plugs, use a small, standard jewelry screwdriver and loosen both of the set screws, insert the speaker wire, then tighten the set screws, and then screw the banana plug back together. The plugs have either a red band which would typically be used for your "Right" speakers, or a black band which would typically be used for the "left" speakers. The banana plugs insert into the top or front of the speaker terminal posts on the amp and receiver. They fit VERY snug, and so I did have to apply just a little bit of pressure in order to insert them into the posts, but once plugged in, rest assured they're not going anywhere. They are snug. I highly recommend these.

Great Banana Plugs
I recently purchased these FosPower banana plugs to tidy up my speaker wiring, and they’ve been a significant improvement over bare wire ends. Installation is straightforward: strip the wire, loosen the two tiny set screws, slide the wire in, tighten everything down, and then screw the barrel back on. Once assembled, the connection feels secure and tight, making it much easier to swap gear around and reducing the risk of stray strands causing a short. The standout feature of this design is the dual set-screw clamp. It firmly grips the speaker wire without relying on the outer collar to “crush” it in place. I’m using 12-gauge wire, and it holds well for my setup. Initially, the plugs may fit snugly in some binding posts. Once seated, there’s no wobble, but it might take a bit of extra push the first time. The set screws are small, so a bit of precision is needed. Use a small flathead screwdriver and don’t over-tighten them. Overall, these plugs feel well-made, look clean once installed, and fulfill their purpose as banana plugs: making speaker connections quick, neat, and reliable.

They're Ok. I keep buying them.
These are alright. They have flaws but ultimately the work pretty well and look good. The good -I like the look -Very secure attachment to the wire -Snug fit into ports which is good. However I've had a few that I could barely insert and felt like I was going to break my receiver/wall jack. Bad: -The outer casing that screws on never stays on. It's always loose and trying to fall off. No matter how hard I seem to tighten them they are always coming loose. -In my limited experience with these (I've purchased 36). I've had three where the machining for the screws was messed up. Either the screw was completely stuck or the machining was so bad that I ended up breaking off the screw head trying to remove it. -A few of them were too tight of a fit into ports. It's nice that they are all snug but some were far to hard to insert. Maybe 3-4 of 36.

Extremely secure connection for thick gauge speaker wires
Excellent and inexpensive audio wire connectors. I used these to connect my rear B&W speakers to in-wall wire ports using thick Monster cables. I was especially impressed with the double tightening screws within each plug, which provides for a very secure connection without soldering. The plug posts are baffled to provided an extremely secure connection to the female ports. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Well....it's different!
For the most part every item I purchase from Amazon I try to do my research. What are my needs? How I do I want it to work for me? Do I have choices on brands and designs? Not the most pressing questions, but its a start. Once I have established all that I need, I make my purchase. I have learned that I am not going to "make it" work. It has to work exactly how I want it. We tend to settle for the sake of the project or we don't want to deal with the return of stuff. There is times that I am not sure if I want to keep certain items, as I am on the fence sometimes. This is one of those times. Not only that, I wait on doing reviews as sometimes a product works right out of the box, but then fails in the longevity of time. Not saying these banana plugs are not meant for the long haul. At this point I will reference the pictures. The packaging made me step back for a bit. The banana plugs come in pairs in a plastic baggy. The baggies come in a larger plastic baggy that also has a resealable top. Just swipe your thumb or finger to close the bag. I do have to say, I am sort of use to other companies sending there banana plugs in a slim box. In the slim box is a plastic transparent mold that holds the plugs in place. By the looks of the quality, maybe the money is being invested in the right place. This design is very typical, it just adds a very unique sleeve. It is unique in the sense of how you have disassemble to access the screws to secure the wire. The sleeve has to be unscrewed, and once you feel the banana plug separate from the sleeve you have to push it backwards. The tip of the plug has the cuts that let the tip spring and fit snug in any terminal. Which brings me to the part of the tip, it will get stuck on some of them as your pulling the sleeve off. It is ok to use a bit of pressure. Nothing that requires to have tools involved, or creative ways to remove. Once the plug has been removed you have access the two screws that you have to unscrew to lock in your wire. Once that is done you insert the sleeve through the top of the plug and screw back on to fully assemble properly. The hole that has been drilled in the plug seems to accept a 12 gauge wire, maybe even a 10 gauge. This banana plug sort of reinvents the wheel on a slim plug design. What makes it different is the sleeve that gives it a more professional look by covering the screws that hold the wire in place. All in all, the quality of the banana plug is very good. I gave it less stars for "ease of use". This is mainly for the sleeve that is one extra step you have to take once joining the plug and the wire. There are other designs that maybe easier to use. Which in other designs all you need is a wire cutter. This plug requires a wire cutter and a screw driver. Happy shopping!

Good plug; good fit; it works
Easy to fit it to a speaker cable (mine is stranded wire). Works fine. The initial fit to speaker female plug was a bit tight, but subsequent removal and refitting the banana plug is just fine and secure
