EGO POWER+ String Trimmer, Battery Powered, 15" Trimmer for Weeds and Grass with POWERLOAD, Includes 56V 4.0Ah Battery and Charger - ST1523S

So my beloved old Snapper one finally broke and I had to cave in buying a new trimmer, since I am the wheedwackerlady in our house... And THIS thing is a BEAST!!!! Meaning: Powerful, super easy to use and lasts FOREVER!!!! The battery is more powerful than my last, so I did feel its weight a little in my wrist, but thankfully I got the strap, so once I had it all adjusted perfectly, I went and cleaned out the entire dog enclosure (roughly 40 by 50 feet) plus around the entire house and trees in the front and the garage and the barn ..... all with one charge - and in the end I still had TWO BARS left!!!! IMPRESSIVE!!!! My favorite is the easy use - it only needs a tiny tap and VOILA the string is perfectly long again (which is immediately audible) - and it cuts EVERYTHING that is willing to try to stand up against it LOL!!! I LOVE this new trimmer!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

This is the best weed trimmer with the most power that I’ve ever owned and I’ve had several gas models. Just put them all to shame. The automatic feed works so well in it’s so easy to reload the battery. Life is over an hour at hard use, I’ve had no issues whatsoever with the unit working it’s also very well balanced. I would purchase this item again.

ABSOLUTELY love it. It's just as powerful as a gas trimmer. LOVE, LOVE LOVE the power load feature. Light weight. Easy to use. I haven't had a chance to use it fully because the Ego Battery that came with the trimmer was defective. So I had to quickly contact customer service to report the problem and request a WORKING Battery that takes 10-15 days to receive. Luckily, I had already purchased a 2nd 56V 5.0 Battery compatible with the EGO Trimmer that actually WORKED. Go figure. So this sort of killed my desire to use it to test its full capacity and run time. Despite the dead Battery, I still believe it's an awesome trimmer. I suggest you buy a 2nd backup Battery compatible for the Ego Trimmer . 4 Stars only because the Ego Battery was defective.

I have other EGO tools, so that was the initial drive to get a new string trimmer, but after getting this in-hand and using it.... WOW!!! It is wonderfully light and easy to move around with, without any type of supporting harness. It was preloaded with string which was nice, but that means I have not yet used the PowerLoad feature yet. I am also very impressed with how well it sliced through my grass. One thing I was key to try out was the bump-head to feed out more line... and it worked FLAWLESSLY. I've used string trimmers for 20+ years and I've never had one feed line so smoothly. I had quite a bit of trimming to do, but the 4.0ah battery easily let me work for 30 minutes with plenty of power left still in the battery. I have used gas trimmers up to this point, but I am very happy with the move to this battery powered trimmer.

First, I cannot believe Amazon sells this item! When I received it, the first thing I did was try to charge the battery, but a red light immediately flashed instead of green so I unplugged it and tried again... same results. I disconnected and reconnected it from the charger but again a flashing red light. The troubleshooting guide recommended leaving it on the charger for 30 minutes even though the red light flashes, again same results. Next, I called EGO Customer Service since there is no email address at all for this company. I was placed on hold and after waiting a considerable amount of time was offered a call back option, which I took. It wasn't until the next day I received a call back. After explaining the problem I was experiencing, the customer service rep. told me I needed to provide warranty information starting with the serial number of the battery, charger, and trimmer as well as a copy of the purchase receipt, all for requesting help on a trimmer I had just taken from the box. Since each item has a serial number 20 digits long, I asked if she could send an email and I would get the serial numbers and then send the receipt as a file. She agreed and I sent the information to her in a thread provided. In getting the numbers from each of the three product components, I noticed they each were dated Jan 2022, four years old already. Later I followed up with a phone call but again, with no answer and a long wait until getting the call back option. Several hours later, I received the call and it was the same customer service rep. who told me she had not received the email. I told her I would resend it while she was on the line, which I did. She stated she still did not receive it. So, I read the serial numbers of the three items to her over the phone, and she said she would send another email with a thread back to her for the copy of the receipt. She also agreed to "trouble shoot" my problem over the phone. After having me try a number of things with the battery and charger, she deduced that the battery was bad. (Remember all components are dated Jan 2022). Her promised email was then received the next morning, and I sent the file with the receipt in it and followed up on it with another phone call. Again, no answer but an option for another call back. This call back was received the following day. Again, I spoke with the same person, and she looked up my information and informed me she had not received my email. I told her I would send it again right then and to check if she got it. At first, she said she didn't, but then said she did, and then said the screen shot was not clear enough and she couldn't read the purchase date. I told her it wasn't a screen shot; it was a saved file of the Amazon receipt I had taken directly from my Amazon account and was as clear as a photograph. She then asked if she could put me on hold while she talked with her supervisor. When she returned, she told me he had told her it had to be a clearer receipt. At this point I had had enough and told her so. I do not believe they did not receive my emails, especially using a thread they had created for me to use. I also believe the receipt was received and was completely legible. While the customer service rep. tried to be helpful, it is interesting I reached this same person every time I called at a number which covers the whole U.S. for all of EGO's products. Finally, I returned the product, being unable to get any Customer Service resolution on a product I never got an opportunity to even use.

It's a little on the heavy side, but is well balanced, even with the heavy 4Ah battery. I have a pretty large yard, and have used it over a couple of days and still have not had to recharge the battery yet. This baby has a lot of power that easily cuts thru the many Bradford pear tree shoots that are all around my trees. Tapping the head on the ground to advance the trimmer line works extremely well. I don't have to pound it on the ground, just a light tap on the ground works great. The automated/powered line loading is a fantastic feature. I am amazed at the power of this trimmer, and it is easy to control the speed with the trigger. I did a ton of research before making this purchase. I am extremely pleased.

This has power to spare. It laughs at my yard.i can use a 2.5 ah/hr battery to edge and trim my yard and still have half battery left. I have 1/2 acre. I was so impressed I bought all ego. Hedger,trimmer,edger,blower. And love em! You need lawn tools? Buy these! You’ll love em! Finally a high quality tool meant to last.
