Good and cheap
Stanard Bic Atlantis, ball point gets a little gunky between uses but writes really smooth once it gets going and feels just slightly more substantial than the standard plastic ones.

Nice metal-look pens
As other reviewers have noted, the Bic Atlantis Metal is actually a plastic pen with a metallic (paint?) finish. The only metal parts are the clip, nose cone, and knock (clicker button). These pens have a comfortable rubber grip and look more "upscale" than the regular Bic Atlantis pen bodies. Nice and I like them, but the $3 per pen that I paid is on the upper side of reasonable for a plastic pen. Also, the pens came in a bar-coded plastic bag instead of the retail blister packaging stated and shown in the listing. However, I think that Bic has actually discontinued this model, so I was happy to find a source.

Bic's Latest Super Flow Ink, Better Looking than Dark Blue(Standard Atlantis pens) , Fatter Grip
The metal appearance still appeals to me more than the cheap blue plastic (okay so it's cheap looking "metal") but this one I will carry daily where I dread losing an expensive Parker or Cross. All of the Bic ballpoint cartridges fit in it, and Atlantis Super Smooth ink is a good hybrid ink, and the fine point is great. I use them all, but prefer this one to the squishy rubber grip, for better control. I'm afraid they wont be around much longer. Bic's 0.5 gel (in the Triumph retractables and capped) is about the best fine gel point on the market (along with Tul's), if you dont mind the medium slate blue. I think it 'beats Sarasa's roller tip,but I like their color.

BEWARE: Misleading Description
These pens are NOT metal. I’m surprised no one has sued BIC yet for false advertising. It’s “metallic” looking, but it’s not metal. Metallic paint on a standard plastic Atlantis/Glide Pen. That’s IT.Secondly, you don’t get them in a sealed BIC package. You just get two loose pens in a plastic bag within a box. So unprofessional it’s disgusting. You have really stopped to a new low BIC, and THAT is why every Japanese pen company has surpassed you as being quality pen manufacturers.Skip on BIC if you want a good pen, try Uniball instead.I’m sorry, I almost never give out 1-star reviews, but this one quite literally pissed me off it was so bad.

Big Metal pen
I thought I would love this pen because the barrel is 1.2. It did not write smooth. I gave it away

THESE ARE SO SMOOTH
I've come to realize that their are a lot of "Penheads" out there -- people who love a good pen and are particular about them. That's me. A co-worker had one of these and I needed to borrow it and I said to him, "Where did you get this?" and he said, "It's awesome, isn't it. I got em on Amazon." Trust me, these are smooth and the print looks great. Great value at the price vs the product itself. Highly recommend.
