I was concerned this cable may not work because of many other options out there that have a USB plug/cable integrated into their HDMI to DP adapter cables. However this cable does not need it! It is plug and play and works great!I purchased this to go from the HDMI port on my laptop(HP EliteBook w/ Windows11) to a DisplayPort on my KCEVE brand KVM Switch(and then, with a separate cable, from a DisplayPort on my KVM switch to a DisplayPort on my monitor).Also, out of curiosity, I tried/tested this cable out two additional ways:1: This Does work from the HDMI port on my 11-in-1 Belkin Docking station to a DP of my KVM switch.2: This does NOT work in Reverse from the DisplayPort on my Docking station to the HDMI port on my KVM Switch. So be aware that this cable is ONLY one directional as their description correctly states.Hope this info helps those of you trying to determine it's compatibility/direction from what and to what.

Worked the first time out of the bag. cable looks well constructed.

Its a cable. Either its going to work like described or its not. It worked as described, HDMI connector on a MAC to a display port connector on a Dell monitor.

I needed a HDMI to DP cable to hook up my new 4K LCDs due to the port availabilty on my graphics card. Although a bit pricy, and yet hard to find, this cable took care of my needs when it was plugged in.No issues and will recommend the product for others who need this unique cable.As noted in the description, the cable will ONLY work with the DP end plugged into the monitor and NOT other way around.Best advised on this product, just make sure you read the entire description to ensure that it will work for your needs.

I have no complaints about the cable, it seems well made. However it did not convert the hdmi output from my laptop (Samsung Galaxy Book3 Pro) to my displaypirt monitor. It must only work the other way. I understand now that what I need is an adapter, not just a cable; DP depends on a clock signal which hdmi does not natively provide.

I don't know what happened at the beginning all was good the cable worked well and just passed 2 or 3 hours and stopped working :( I Smelled something like had burned inside the cable terminal.

no issues works as stated

This is one of the rare cables that convert in the direction of HDMI to DisplayPort. It's usually more common to find it the other way around. However like those cables, this is also unidirectional. I connected it from my laptop's HDMI port to my monitor's DisplayPort and it worked like a charm. Resolution and refresh rate support also seem pretty decent according to specs but I'm limited to 2k 60 at work. The HDMI end also has a little USB-C connector for extra juice if you are pushing 4k pixels at 60hz. I did not require it for my low end set up.Lastly, the cable has really high build quality. Nylon braiding looks resistant to fraying and the metal capped ends are nicely rounded with great strain relief. Connectors are gold plated and the thick cable remains easy to straighten and/or mold. I would say though that when used for a long time, the long HDMI connector gets fairly warm. Doesn't hinder or destabilize performance though.

As described well made and have no problems with them

I have to say, this is not a cheap cable. i did my research and assumed it would work. I bought it to connect my main BenQ 32" display to my Apple Mac Studio M2 Ultra.It turns out that the display would unpredictably and intermittently go black. Worse, sometimes it wouldn't come back on again, so I either had to turn off the display or actually restart the computer! For 41$ i expected it to work!So, now I've resorted to connecting the display, using a USB-C cable. So far, so good, but I really didn't want to use up a USB port when i have a HDMI one vacant on the Mac Studio.So, I'm going to have to do more research. This cable is useless to me.
