Nice and quiet, works well.
After 33 years, my old fan started making noise, so it was time for a new one. Replaced one in another bathroom before and it was noisy, so did my homework on this one. The difference between 6 Sones and 2 Sones is amazing! I love this one, can't even tell it is on unless you are in the bathroom. The old one could be heard throughout the house (before it started to die). The new fan installed upstairs last year was also 6 Sones and can be heard down stairs! The only downside is that the new one was deeper (taller) so had to replace the entire casing (the 6 Sone model fit in the old enclosure) so had to go up in the attic and remove everything, then install the casing in the rafters. Definitely a 2-person job at that point, so I bit more involved. Overall, it was worth the extra hassle.

Replacement exhaust fan
Our old exhaust fan had to finally get replaced. Read about this fan and liked the reviews. Bought and had no problem. Not as loud as the old fan, which is why I bought it. Great value for money.

Good fan
Easy to install. Very quiet fan.*Note* the suggested duct and vent of 4" which is wrong. It should be 6". I ended purchasing the wrong size.

Quiet, pleasant sound, easy install, moves plenty of air
Because of the way the output duct connector attaches, you MUST have access to the space above/behind it., because it's impossible to just slide the unit into place through a correctly sized hole when this is attached. This is unfortunate because if it slid into place like some others this would be a very easy install from the front. This went into a small bathroom, roughly 5x10, where nominally a 50cfm unit would be sufficient; however, because there's no air gap under the door, i wanted a fan strong enough to pull air into the room through the only other route when the window's closed: the 5" furnace duct on the floor. That's a long trip for air to make from other rooms in the house, so I figured the extra oomph of a 90cfm fan would be helpful. In practice this was a good decision, the fan is very effective with the door closed without ever being too much. If the fan is on while showering, the room never gets humid and the mirrors never fog. If you wait and turn it on afterward, it takes maybe 5 to 7 minutes to fully clear the room of humidity and defog the mirrors.I don't know what 0.8 Sones is supposed to sound like, but it's pleasant enough in real life: there is absolutely no motor sound whatsoever, just a low, steady whoosh of air. Before installing I bench-tested it in the room by just running wires to an outlet, it and it was *extremely* quiet and clearly moved plenty of air. Once installed, the air resistance and slight back pressure of the ducting and the output vent cap I used increased the air noise somewhat, but it's still a rather pleasant, reassuring white-noise sound, and still not loud at all.
