A Concise and Exhaustive Gem on More Than Cord Magic
I technically have not finished the whole book. As my only real point of caution goes, about this book, you are buying a book on all sorts of things... sort of, but sort of not, "tied in" to knot magic-- not anymore than the chapters in question are tied into any other area of magic. This could be disappointing to some, in theory, but I actually found it quite refreshing and helpful. As per usual with this author, the abundant surplus of somewhat-universally-relevant was a welcome add-on, a reminder of things I'd mostly forgotten during the many years of personal medical problems that made it extremely difficult for me to Practice much at all. But if you are another person, I can only conjecture strongly, that you, too, will find the content very helpful. And with that one mixed point of concern aside... this book is amazing. For one thing, SOME of the chapters on magical associations (a fairly posh expository of knowledge on everything from types of fabric to an unusually and unexpectedly insanely-detailed expose on Magickal Astrology, which, honestly, is well worth the ticket price, period, if you were looking for a primer, or even something fairly advanced, or a reminder of forgotten magical principles, or just to have a concisely encompassing, easy-to-grab-from-your-shelf/Kindle reference about the major tenets of Magickal Astrology.... and really, I personally found the other associations chapters extremely promising, albeit it will take me a YEAR or probably much longer, lulz, to actually commit it all to memory and comprehension)-- SOME of those chapters on Magickal Associations, to be clear, are ... unique. I know of 0 other sources that give the magickal associations on fabrics, and the chapters on Magickal Astrology and Numerology are just... far, far more detailed than what I'd seen before. Indeed, I have a whole book on Colors in the Occult, but, it is more cumbersome and sparsely threaded than the chapter that one can find in most of Mari Silva's books. Whilst it's a humbling point as a writer who fits more easily conversational style and long discourses.... I have to say I admire Silva as a writer, for her simple, concise brevity.I have not actually read the actual content specific to knot magick, yet; and I was distracted cycling between various Occult Tomes, these last several months. Dont' get me wrong, I am definitely looking to find the reading time to sink my teeth into this tome. I have I don't know how many dozens of books bought, mostly on Kindle, many of them technically for free on promotion days... so, trust me, this book is high on my itinerary of things to read... I just spent a lot of time trying to re-immerse myself into the Basics, again, recently... and trying to reawaken, in me, the worst thing to go cold, of all, during personal life troubles mostly stemming from my medical health for a rather long time. That part of me I am referring to, is "That Which Can Never Be Told." Mari Silva, on that note, has been an incredibly ideal source of resuscitation, so, to any other Witches out there who had to quite Practicing when "Life" hit us in one way or another... I heartily recommend the author's work. And if you love Arts and Crafts, her tomes on Magickal Arts and Crafts wonderful. (I'm not 100% sure which screen names are and are not her, though--- guess I'm "new" again to being more "in the loop," so, there are several author names who write a similar beat... and I actually am not sure if they are just writers with similar styles, or the same writer. *No idea!*Regardless, again, this book is a true repository of information, as are many of the author works by the same author. And, just to add in--- she covers most of the basics (and in great detail) of basic practices, in her books... before covering the specific Craft or Art she is teaching in the same book. She does also only charge $3 per book, on Kindle Store... and thin though may run the spine, she is honestly a lot better at cramming in a ton of content crisply and concisely explained, than I could picture myself doing, as an amateur aspiring writer, myself.Very Highly Recommended. This book is a gem--- it covers a wide range of topics, in gist, everything relevant that most authors would ignore, when focusing on a more specific approach to subject material. And in the Astrology Chapter alone, she concisely lays out more about astrology than I myself have ever known.Worth the $3?? ... Oh heck yes! And the reading time!!

Fascinating information
More information in this book than what I thought there would be. I love how the author goes through the history of cord magic. The information you receive on what fabrics to use and colors and how it ties in with the elements and astrology was fascinating. It's explained how the tones and hues of each color is just as important as the primary colors. The explanation of planets and their influences was interesting as well as how to time your spell on the days of the week.Numerology plays a role in this as well for example the number 8 or the infinity symbol represents wealth. You can use numerology to assist with how many knots you want to tie on your cord etc...Information on how to set your intention and clear any blocks you may have in your chakras. It was a very fascinating book. I learned a lot.

For anyone interested in magic.
I have never read any books on cord or knot magic and I found this book interesting. I liked the part where the fabric was listed with it element and correspondences and in some cases the astrological sign. The author included base metal and color information too. In fact the book is full of information and I think it is a good read for anyone interested in the subject of magic. I am happy I took the time to read this book. I did receive a free copy of this book from Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review it.

This book really resonated with me!
This is a fantastic book and ill need to read it again and keep for reference. It goes into what material, what color, what kind of knots, what intents you tie or un-tie with. They can be used for binding magick, protection etc.I can tell even with the word knot or tie it can make strong magick. If your looking into spells and protecting yourself pick this up and put in your arsenal!

Awful
The author seems to expect everybody to know how to tie something more than a slip-knot. There are no explanations or examples of knot-tying, and she doesn't even explain the purpose of the spells. I am not going to dabble in something vague that might cause harm where I wish to help. Complete waste of money.
