Great book, super story about a cycling legend
Great book, super story about a cycling legend. An excellent addition to my collection of cycling books. I would also recommend the earlier two books which I have about Mark Cavendish: Boy Racer and Cavendish at speed.

Brilliant book written from the heart
Brilliant book written from the heart - you can really hear Mark in these words, honest but thought through, and a captivating account of his Tour de France wins over the years.

Informative
Didn't have the same punch as some of the other books I have read on Cav. I was wanting more funny or lambasting anecdotes if am honest and was a bit short saying that,as a personal historical document it covers all the basics.

An emotional journey
This is up there as one of the best cycling books that I've read. A passionate tale from a passionate man. Brilliant!

Stunning insight into the great comeback Tour
Without doubt the best cycling book I've read yet, and that covers many. A must read for the genuine enthusiast as the detail is extra ordinary. Cav must have carried a dictaphone to be able to recall all the detail which makes this so special about a special man

OK but not as good as earlier Cav books
This is ok as an account of an extraordinary Tour performance. It felt a bit lacking and very carefully presented view of that event. Did not really get much further than the contemporary journalism accounts. Would have been better with some cameos from other team members - eg a la G's tour book. The other two Cav books are way better than this for getting in insight into this extraordinary rider's career.

outstanding!
A brilliant record of the greatest sporting achievement of the year! (Of the decade? Ever???)What a guy! Surely the greatest sprinter of all time.Just read it in three sittings over 24 hours - so an easy read, and fascinating / engrossing. If you are at all interested in bike racing, then this is a great read.

not a literary classic, BUT......!
An awesome read. If you ever wanted to know what goes on in the mind of a Sprinter then this book is for you. Mark simply thinks differently to the rest of us and this is what makes him one of the greatest sportsmen ever. He pulled off one of the greatest sporting comebacks ever due to a mindset that is a rarity today. This book provides an insight as to how he did what he did whilst simultaneously acknowledging all those that helped him along the way. An amazing book about an amazing guy.

Great Story!
Very enjoyable. As a non cyclist I learnt alot about the sprinters role at the Tour de France. And of course Mark’s comeback from impossible odds makes for riveting reading.
