A must have!
I've just received this book in the mail, and I have excitedly combed through most of it in an evening. The information in this book is invaluable, especially if you're just learning to make soap! The recipes are very clear and easy to follow.I really like how the author explains the three methods of soapmaking and provides several therapeutic recipes for each. This way, when you feel ready, you can progress. She even details the tools needed for each method, without unnecessary frills .There is good information about different herbs and their functions, as well as the purpose of each oil. The author's story was touching and for me personally, very relatable! Thank you for writing this book!

Wow
Who knew there was so much information on making soap that someone actually wrote a whole book about it?Written by a woman Rita Amin who obviously has had skin problems. So she decided to take matters into her own hands (no pun 😂 intended) and write a book about making soaps that are healthy and easy to do. Well sort of easy, plus there is a bit of an investment in buying a scale and the equipment. Plus the herbs and the flowers if you want lavender or aloe vera soap, take your choice.Rita lists a lot of Ayurvedic ingredients you can add to your homemade soaps. That’s why I thought it was such an unusual title for the book until I read the list of herbs. And they are all healthier for the skin than store bought brands.Be prepared to make a mess of your kitchen, and the kids will probably enjoy helping with the preparation more than any television game. Then acquiring the equipment to create the soaps could prove to be difficult to find. Just remember to get the goggles and gloves to keep the eyes and hands, protected.I actually can make a homemade soap for my shampoo rather than a store bought bottle, and just use the bar of soap in my shower.Thank you Rita, a definite good read for homemakers that have the patience and time to make unique smelling, safe and unique homemade soaps.

Informative and creative!
I have always been fascinated by the skin. With it being the bodies largest organ and being the first line of defense, but also, how amazingly balanced and delicate it all is. While at that same time the skin tough rugged able to handle extreme, conditions, temperatures, chemicals, humidities, allergies, and other crazy things we put it through. It has made me appreciate skin care even more than already do.Also, I have really been into gifts that can be homemade or that I can partially home make. That is why I was thrilled to come across this book.Natural Herbal Ayurvedic Soapmaking Cookbook: Hot Process, Cold Process, Melt-and-Pour & Rebatching Methods - Over30 Unique Herbal Soap Recipes by Rita Amin. She really knows her stuff. Not only does she explain the differences between commercially made soaps and homemade soaps and what they do to your skin she has multiple easy to follow stunning recipes in many methods. Even if this isn’t something you aren’t interested in, it would make a great gift. Also, Something I really live about this book is the addition of herbs. It is like the cherry on top. So good.Awesome addition to my crafty/DIY shelf in my library. I highly recommend!

Great on information, but I'll pass on the recipes
The information in here is exceptional for beginners. It starts you off with the basic 3 oil recipe in CP and HP and Rita talks you through the whole process. She even walks you through rebatching. The information of troubleshooting, fragrance (in terms of top, middle and base notes), and also how to read more of the information in soapcalc is something i come back to over and over again. Its invaluable. The down side is there are no photos of soaps with the recipes and no superfat information other than in the glossary and i think this is an important component when you start to venture out of Melt and Pour or just starting your journey in CP soaping. . That said the information you learn from this book is valuable and this is the book i pick up to reference anything im unsure of.

Soap pour it while it's hot
Artisan soap, those expensive bricks in that holistic store up the street. Looking at them you think oh, pretty and on impulse buy one for five dollars when you could have bought a pack of six for a few dollars more. You take it home use it and notice the rash you had on your arm is fading. Excited you tell your roommate and their like, "you're allergic to something in the other soap. Idiot." So you keep using that fancy soap with the sigh that says cold pressed. Dropping 80 every couple of months cause that rash was evil and the soap is great. No? Just me..... Anywho. This book provides recipes for three different styles of soap making along with a few recipes to get you started. Which is great and while I won't be attempting the cold or hot process in making soap. Fumes, kids small work space, I feel the base and add would be possible and likely a money saver. Assuming it turnes out right.

Had to write a review on this Book!
I fell in Love with this Book!It has soooo many natural recipe ideas and instructions for various ways to make, healthy for your skin, soap.I have a variety of skin conditions and for the most part have no idea of what the ingredients are in soaps and cleansers on the market, and nothing has worked for me regardless. I wanted to give, making my own soap a try, and this book made that so easy as I had zero idea where to start.Thank you for this, I’m am enjoying the soap making process and , maybe it’s just me, but feel like my skin has already improved.

Clean way to healthy living
The idea of Herbal soaps is not oftenly acceptable because of lack of sufficient information on the topic. The book clearly defines the need, purpose and its efficiency. Clear read.
