Works great on the network
Our employee use to have to stand at the copier all day scanning in documents for electronic filing. This thing fixed all that, it scans great, and she loves itWhat I loveEasy to set upWas able to scan directly into a network folderHad the ability to hook it up by USB or Network portEasy to use scanning lets you chose quality of scan vs speed of the scanWhat I don't like?Nothing so far, unless it breaks this was worth every penny.

For small businesses with big scanning needs and little space, this is the only one.
I researched long and hard after wasting good money on another brand of scanner which didn't play nice with my Mac. I run a paperless office and need a compact, workhorse machine. I've had this for over six months, and it has answered every need. A solid business investment and a machine you can rely on. The software is not pretty, but it is versatile and meets all my needs. The range of resolution settings is fantastic, easily adjusting to daily or one-off needs. Oozes quality; very good price for what you get.

lacking functionality
The scanner lacks even the most basic functionality expected of a scanner at this price category. For example, blank page removal does not work. The image processing is also error-prone and sometimes results in having to scan documents multiple times to get right. To add to my frustrations with this device, I found the scanner to also be quite slow. Would not recommend it. Look elsewhere folks.

Blazing Fast Scanner Hampered by Poor Software
This is a very fast scanner and paper rarely jams. Network scanner is very useful where do you have a central document repository, so everyone in office can walk up to the scanner and with one touch scanning the document is sent to a central shared location, always with same settings (like dpi, B&W etec.), where it can be renamed and accessed by everyone. For example scanning medical records in a hospital or medical office. And documents settings are standard and don't have to be changed every time. But if you scan a variety of documents or pictures, each with different setting, this scanner is very cumbersome to use. Scanning from color screen becomes a multi step process, requiring the use of computer screen as well. Epson software is not user friendly like Fujitsu; there a hundreds of variables in settings to change. More than 50 setting variables hidden under menus and submenus. In that situation, network scanner is difficult to use because to scan a document to have to physically walk up to the scanner, then you have to be on the computer to change the settings or rename the document. When it comes to the Hardware, Epson is a champion. But their software is extremely cumbersome. It is versatile, but meant for techies or IT people, not for average person. For average Joe or Jane, Fujitsu is best.

LCD Interface Needs Work
The scanner has an LCD interface so scanning profiles can be accessed quickly by the push of a button. Problem is, these profiles cannot be setup to control scanning speed. For slow scanning, which is my preference in most cases, I have to select a profile, then access the speed tab, then select the slower speed, then go back to the original profile tab, then select scan. It defeats the purpose of having a so-called one-touch scanning capability.

Fast DUPLEX Scanning!
This scans both sides of the page at the same time. It can scan 17 pieces of paper per minute. If you're scanning duplex, that's 34 pages per minute! The scanner is a bit dated, but its performance is still very acceptable compared with the other current offerings in 2024.
