Great quality light that will hold up over time.
This light is made of very good quality metal. I ordered 8 of them. One did come with a broken clip, but I will be exchanging that out for another. These lights were very easy to install.I conducted a lot of research and read many reviews before selecting this low voltage walkway light. Many reviews of low voltage lights complain about cheap quality plastic, and clips that are too difficult to attach to the power line. These lights are made of good quality metal and appear that they are durable and should last over time. As far as attaching the clips to the power line, it could not have been easier. You just place the line in-between the clip and squeeze. I even needed to move two lights and it was just as easy to unattach then reattach the light elsewhere. It was hard to find in the reviews how much light these Paradise lights throw off. I did read one review that stated they give off 6ft of light in all directions for a total diameter of 12ft. Unfortunately this is not the case. The light only gives off 3ft of light in all directions for a diameter of 6ft. While it gives off a nice soft light, I find that it is made more to light up a walkway than to light up an area of landscaping. The light is not bright enough to show off your landscaping unless it is almost directly over the plant you are trying to showcase. I did order some LED bulbs that were recommended in another review. I plan to try those to see if it will throw off more light.Overall I am very pleased with the Paradise GL22811BK light. It is durable, attractive looking, easy to install, and you can't beat the price for the quality you receive. I would definitely recommend this light to a friend.

Great lights, use care in assembling bases...
I am still in the middle of the overall installation of all my lights but I've assembled them all and have installed the first one which I am very satisfied with.So far, my observations are that they are very tricky to put together correctly (even using extreme care) and the bases tend to cross-thread. You are NOT IN CONTROL of whether the base cross-threads or not. The black paint determines how this thread will start itself and there's nothing you can do to change it once the cross-threading has begun. I have 5 and 3 cross-threaded even though I am a craftsman and use extreme care in all that I do. That said, they're all still usable and the cross-threading won't hamper the appearance, durability, or functionality of these lights once they're installed. The thick paint is the problem, not the threads themselves. Knowing this, it may be helpful to do a little sanding or steel-wooling of the threads before attempting to assemble the lights. The lights themselves are excellent quality and will last for a good long time. Being aluminum, the worst that could happen is the black paint will burn off in the sun and they'll need a coat of new black paint. I love the ease of clipping them onto the live "feed" wire and they installed with a reassuring click and a good, solid bite on the wire. They are sturdy and should be able to take a bit of abuse.Very happy, so far. Just be careful with the assembly and plan on getting LED's along with these fixtures since the incandescents will probably last only a month or so. LED's are definitely the way to go and will save you both money and aggravation as soon as you put them in. I ordered the LED's here on Amazon as have other commenters.

Great Fixtures, Get LED BULBS though!!
Looks, fit and finish are good as are the clips to install to the low voltage wire. Assembly quite easy, good packaging. The amount of light is pretty good too. Approximately 18" tall, Pretty happy with everything except for the life of the bulb. Perhaps just the nature of the beast with these lights. I bought several from Paradise, these along with spots and floods and so forth, and they all burned out within six weeks. I have switched to LED bulbs entirely as I should have to begin with. Been about 3 months now and all are still working. Would recommend but with LED Bulbs.

DO NOT PURCHASE!
I purchased 6 of these lights. They worked great the first 2 days. Then one went out. My electric came back and got it going. Now 10 days later, NONE of the lights are working VERY disappointed. I do not have the boxes to return for a refund. I would very much like to talk with the seller regarding what I can do.

Great Value
I tested these lights next to my similar Kichler path lights. Rather than the included bulb I bought the LED paddle light from GRV (24 5050 SMD).Comparatively the top umbrella part is slightly smaller, and the black color is very plain making this light somewhat boring to look at during the day. However, the brightness of the light, the sturdiness of the product and the connectors are all on par or slightly better to my eye. If you include purchasing the 3 watt LED above, one light would cost around $25 or 1/10 some other LED light setups, a great value. With the LEDs I can install 4-5 times more lights on the same transformer and at this cost it makes total sense. Mine have been installed for about 2 months now through abundant rain, snow and freezing temperatures and so far no problems.Pros:Inexpensive but well constructedWorks well with very bright LEDsConsVery plain looking

Lights not lighting
I bought 7 of these and after having them in the ground for a couple of weeks, they stopped working. I figured something had happened to the transformer or wire because it would be very unlikely that all 7 would have problems, right? Wrong! I was sweeping the steps and bumped one of them and voila! It turned on. I then tapped the other 6, and all but one turned on. I see that a previous reviewer is having the same problem, so beware! I gave this 2 stars because they look good and throw nice light, when they are working!
