Worked perfect for my needs

Great product and fast delivery

I bought these to level a new refrigerator. I thought plastic shims would be better than wood shims which could compress under heavy load. I am sure the sims will not compress but the trade off was they were a bit brittle and I broke the first set. I suppose this is a feature after they are in place but still not sure if this was the best choice for a refrigerator or similar applications. I believe under light loads or just squaring a frame in a wall or something these shims are fine.

My fridge wasn’t registering at the proper temperature it continuously was above 40 degrees and my freezer was too cold. Our floor was not level so these were the perfect solution! We used an air pump lift and put these under it not only did all the fluids regulate but they made it perfectly stable. Considering the fridge is hundreds of lbs that speaks on the quality of this item. We’ve now had them in for quite some time and I’m impressed with their performance. Great value for the money, fit perfectly in the space, excellent stability!

Worked well for leveling a garage ready freezer.

Shims are rigid enough to not compress or deform under significant load or when driving into gaps as a wedge. I have hit them surprisingly hard with a hammer without even cracking a corner. They are strong and rigid but not brittle. I screwed (#8) and nailed (12D) through them with no splitting/cracking. They are manufactured cleanly- each shim consistent in composition and dimensions. They are essentially pre-scored with their "ribbed" design making them easy to snap at the right length/thickness. If you can get a clean shot with a hammer to snap them or don't have strong hands, they cut easily with snips, diagonals, or a knife. Deal Guys got them to me quickly, in perfect condition and at a great price. I cannot yet attest to the "never-rot" claims, but based on what I see/feel in manufacturing quality and design, I am confident they will perform inside and out reliably.

I thought they would be larger than that, I guess we’ll keep them for small jobs.

I have installed some aluminum stairs at my house which have sagged a bit - GRRRR! They were off between 3 and 4 degrees which makes them feel like I could slide. By using these shims under the stairs I was able to level them right up and they feel perfect. Good product - I think the quality is excellent, they drilled easily and I’m glad I ordered a bunch of them as I have a few other home projects where I think I can use them.

These are just like cedar shims only they won’t break down. Easy to cut to length and quite durable.

Easy to use and easy to break to length needed.

Very durable and heavy duty, but VERY hard to cut. The product page says the cut to length very easily which is not true. I do not recommend for use indoors because you will have an ugly shim sticking out that you wont be able to easily cut without potentially damaging your floors.
