A good simple swing for a good price, great for travel or if you are on a budget. I am happy!
This is a good swing for a good price. We had a Fisher Price My Little Lamb swing (which I highly recommend!), but it was used &the motor gave out. I couldn't afford $150 for a new one. I found this swing for much less thankfully. I spent days hours on the internet trying to find an affordable, quality swing. I found this. Keep in mind that it is a meant to be a travel swing, so when you compare it to the higher end, stay-at-home swings, there will be a big difference. However, this is a good swing, especially for those of us on a budget. It is plastic & very light, pretty easy to carry, though a bit unwieldy, especially going down a hallway, but that can't be helped. It's cute & useful that the swing has two heights. It can swing at normal height, or be lowered so that it's very close to the floor. It is also easier to carry when it is lowered, & will fit in a mini-van, SUV, or other lager vehicle easily. Whether it would fit in the backseat or trunk of a car would depend on the particular model of vehicle. Check the product specs if you need to know that. The cover is washable, but also easy to just wipe off with a wet rag. I haven't taken it off yet, but it seems pretty easy to remove when needed. The insert for the babies head is pretty flat & I had trouble with the straps getting lost under it, so I took it off. I didn't get this swing until she was a few months old & didn't need as much head support. If she had I would have just used the old head rest from my sons car seat. It's much thicker. The head rest this came with really should have been thicker, it is flat. But, for the price, that's a small consideration. This swing doesn't have multiple speed 'settings', it has a dial, like the volume button on a radio. The higher you turn the dial, the faster it goes. This is probably the one feature I like better than my previous swing. It makes it so much easier to find your babies perfect swing speed, & adjust accordingly when needed. I get her going good, she falls asleep & I slow it down to give a more restful soothing nap. Perfect! The highest speed is also not TOO high. It may have been because the motor was going out, but my old swing had a couple of settings that were way too fast! The only Con I have is the stiff buttons on the harness. It is a pain to get them to release & not easy to keep her asleep if I just want to move her to the crib, so I have to leave her when she falls asleep in it. My old swing had easy release buttons, she would go to sleep in it & I could easily unhook her & put her in bed without her noticing. The baby's great-grandmother can't use this swing for the baby because she has arthritis in her hands & she can't push the buttons in. She had a bad time the first day we had the swing because she couldn't get the baby out. So she doesn't use the swing, which is a shame when she's having trouble getting her to settle down. Other than that, the swing is fine, especially for the price. Do keep in mind, tho, that it is plastic & light weight. I think it will hold up ok, especially since I don't travel with it. If you are going to use it as a travel swing ( as it is intended ), I would recommend treating it with care. I'm not sure how much abuse it could handle. I'm careful & try to take care of my & my granddaughters thing, but if you have someone who is less careful or gentle, you might be better off with a sturdier (& pricier ) swing. I think it will be fine as long as you are nice too it. It does it's job well & doesn't take up much room. I do recommend this swing if you are on a budget or just want a simple travel swing. ( but not for people with arthritic hands! ) If you are not on a budget & need a say-at-home swing, check out the Fisher Price My Little Lamb Swing. That thing is awesome!! It saved my life the babies first month home!

... in use but wasn't practically sitting on the floor like some of the travel models I have seen
I really wanted a swing that would fold up when not in use but wasn't practically sitting on the floor like some of the travel models I have seen. This swing fit the bill and was very affordable. First time we put our newborn in he screamed and being first time parents we were a little worried about the speed. Fast forward a week and after doing some research I put my son in while straddled and put it on the fastest speed (newborns like it fast). A few moments of fussing but then we were in business! Add some white noise and we now have a sleeping baby. We take almost all our daily naps in the swing. Just swaddle and turn on the white noise, crank that swing and he is out in minutes. We did have to change the batteries after about 3 weeks of use. Giving it 4 stars because every so often the swing kind of shutters just slightly like a gear isn't changing just right but then it goes right back to normal. Not sure what that is about but it doesn't bother baby at all. I do not think the swing is all that noisy- plus babies like white noise so I see the constant swinging sound as a plus. We keep it in the living room and can watch tv while its running just fine.

Not for spitters
The Pros:- Lightweight enough to carry room to room even with baby in one hand (fold and unfold requires two hands, but can carry unfolded)- Easy to launder and wipe up- Quiet and smooth rocking with multiple speeds - from very gentle to quite fast- Easy assemblyThe Cons:- The backrest is too hollow for newborns, so they sit slightly curled in there, which puts pressure on the tummy and causes food to back up. Our daughter instantly throws up a good bit when we put her in there. Now that she is 11lbs and 2.5months, she fills out the seat and looks to be sitting more upright. There really needs to be a newborn insert to keep the back straight and prevent squishing the tummy. Or you could put a small folded towel behind the back like we did.- The hanging toys are really visual decoration and are of minimal interest to baby. Something more stimulating would be very nice.Update: We used this until the absolute weight limit, as my daughter loved it as she grew. She was almost a year old when we retired it.

Decent swing but has several cons. Not sure if anything better out there for the price.
Works like any other swing. Easy to set up and use. My wife uses it daily in her childcare. There are a few cons which make me want to rate it a 3 star, but I don't think these are a big enough deal to lower my star rating from 4 to 3.Cons: The batteries are a pain to change out because they are on the inside of the pillar and the swing pole is in the way. DO NOT CHANGE THE BATTERIES WHILE A CHILD IS IN THE SWING. They can pop out and fall on your little one. D size batteries are heavy and will hurt your child. Battery life is horrible. Expect to change them every 6 weeks. 4 D size batteries are not cheap. The lower belt cover comes off every time you get your kid out and it is a pain fish it back on. Though the power wheel is easy to use, it is also easy for a 2 year old to walk by and turn it to high. It is impossible to know what speed it is set to.

Easy Assemble, easy adjustment! Great!
I really enjoyed this swing. It was easy to put together, my nine year old was even able to put it together. Easy adjustment. I recommend really good long lasting batteries because they seem to go out pretty quickly, and sometimes it is easy to forget to turn it off when it is on low. When folding and putting away be careful with the switch because a hit against the wall can make it function improperly. After I knocked the switch against the wall, I would have to do the reverse to make it come back on. But it did still function. The cushion for the buckle could be a bit thicker, but it did prevent the strap from rubbing up against my baby's legs. I would recommend this product and have to others.
