Alexius: Dark Mafia Romance (Dark Sovereign) Paperback – May 6, 2022

This book is smokin hot! What’s even better than the sexy scenes is that there’s an awesome story woven in too! It’s not just steam and smut. It’s interesting and engaging. The characters are written excellently. The descriptions of everything are clear and concise. Overall, this book is incredible. Can’t wait to read #2.

Alexius and Leandra. Holy cow! This story ticks all my boxes of delicious, dark and dirty. It’s a complex, and intriguing. Rivalry, family, mafia. I am really enjoying this even though it ends in a cliffhanger. Yet it flows beautifully. To next book to see what’s going to happen to these two and the rest of the family.

OMG didn’t know what to expect but did I ever enjoy every page. Not just hot and steamy but I’m so anxious to find out who the bad guy is, I think I know, but it could be either of two. I’m not going to give away anything so you must read. Why do I always love the bad guy. The scene with husband and 🔥🔥🔥and 🥰Ed. I started and finished in an evening. Going to read book two Friday, absorbing all I read.I love the personality of the brothers are all showing so I can’t wait to hear their stories. I felt he fell for her a little fast, but the story does flow along and it did provide me with the quick read I was looking for. I like how she gave a lot of back story so easily on main characters. If mob story strong alpha bad ssa guys hot steamy over the top grownup action in and out of the bedroom and men who can bring it in and out of the bedroom, you better get your copy be ready to memerized and not be able to put this book down.

One of the first Bella J books I have read & it will not be the last. I love the Dark Sovereign world & this book is a great introduction into what is truly a remarkable series.The story was very well written & the characters are portrayed in a way that makes you believe that they are real. I could understand Leandra & the emotions she was experiencing & Alexius had to become more tolerant because of the differences in their upbringing. While this story does end in a cliffhanger it does it in such a way that wants you to quickly pick up the next book. This is one of the best books that I have read & even when I realized it ended in a cliffhanger I was not disappointed as I was not ready to leave these wonderful characters.

Alexius is the first born son to the Dark Sovereign family. His father is currently the leader, but he is dying from an incurable cancer. Soon, it will be in control of Alexius. But his father insisted on one thing before he takes over. He must be married in two weeks.Alexis hates this. He is to rule this family, and does not need or want a wife. All he knows are women who are eager to be with him as a means to an end. He doesn't want that. He doesn't believe in love either, although he has seen that with his parents.Leandra is working in a diner in a rough part of Chicago. To say she is dirt poor is saying something. Having recently losing her abusive mother, she only seeks something better. When she gets to work that morning the other server gets really worked up by seeing the massive man sitting in a back booth drinking coffee and having breakfast. His eyes on Leandra. Knowing he is a part of the Dark Sovereign family has them both worried. Suddenly the bell over the door announces a new customer. But when Leandra looks, it is non other than Alexius and he is stalking towards her. He says her name and hands her an envelope and tells her she has 24 hours to respond, then he leaves.This family is so dark. From running private casinos and private sex clubs and basically owning everyone in the city, they are much feared for a reason. Never cross the family!Now Leandra has no clue what the letter meant, but assumes it's to work in one of the sex clubs. She wants no part of it. Then calls the number to tell them she won't do it, then hangs up. She picks up around her small apartment and gets ready for bed. Pulling out a dry package of noodles and starts to eat. Suddenly someone is pounding on her door. And there is Alexius. Demanding entrance.This story is so good, but very dark. The mafia family is not one to be messed with. But the hate and mistrust between these two begins to grow less. Suddenly Alexius wants to protect his new wife, and doesn't like or trust his feelings.Then everything goes from bad to worse. Alexius and his brothers need to fix things and find out who has threatened the family. Such a cliffhanger. So ready for book 2. Enjoy

I enjoy re ading dark mafia romance books but, this book was disappointing to me. Too much sexy scenes and no mafia action. I was under the impression that it would be more violent mafia action rather than pages of sex scenes. Some enjoy reading this type of book but I like mafia action more than pages of sexy Times of. I also don't like that MMC allowed his brother to be with MFC. Well, I purchased first three books so even though I'm not liking it so far I guess I'm going to finish reading what happens next. I hope the next book has more mafia action than this one.In my opinion, the author did a good job describing sex scenes if you like to read that in book. Unfortunately, I will not be reading anymore books from Bella J.

This book captivated me right from the get go!I love the mysterious events taking place at their business. I don’t want to say anything more but it definitely helped me to stay intrigued in this book.I loved the FMC she is strong af.This book is spicy!!!

The story is quite interesting. I would've loved to see Alexius and Leandra develop a connection that went beyond their initial physical attraction. Alexius wants Leandra to stay after the time they agreed upon has passed, but I think that Leandra is right to remind him that she actually doesn't know anything about him.

Alexius…powerful, ruthless and cold with an aura of invincibility surrounding him, one that Leandra finds a weakness in. He is able to strike fear into people by the mere mention of his name. However, Leandra unwittingly slips through a small chink in that hard exterior when he sees her as appearing “lost”.I love how these two main characters “unravel” together and how what started as an arrangement, a marriage of convenience, quickly develops into something stronger. Neither character really had much choice in the direction their lives took and, despite trying to resist, they are drawn to each other in a fiery and passionate way with each becoming an anchor for the other in an uncertain world.The brothers are excellent supporting characters. Just like Alexius, they are powerful, ruthless and dangerous and form an integral part of the story. They are used to working together and sharing everything, including women. The book also has an element of suspense and intrigue running through it, something which the brothers have to get to the bottom of and solve.I like this author’s style of writing and use of descriptive language that engages and draws the reader in from the start. Somehow I manage to both love and hate Alexius at the same time; he is just so hard to resist despite his dark soul and dangerous ways.There are some dark elements to this story so take heed of any trigger warnings if necessary. I’m so glad there are more books in this series so I can return to this world.

I loved everything about this story! From the opening pages - brace yourselves - to the why the relationship between the hotter than hot Hero and the strong minded and determined heroine.There is plenty of angst, heaps of steam and a very real connection here. Just delicious!Oh and a cliffhanger and I can't wait!

It's a new life, one that's supposed to be temporary but first it means that you have to be able to make it till the finish. This is a great story and it will take you on a emotional journey, love the writing of Bella J . Look forward to the rest of the series .
