Bright LED replacement. Pretty easy to install if you are handy.
Have two suspended ceiling fixtures with 4 tubes each. One of them had some bulbs that were dying (the old Fluorescent types). So I decided that I would replace them with LED tubes. The only LED tubes I could find locally required the newer electronic ballasts and that would have increased the cost of changing over to LED tubes.I found these which run directly on 120V AC so figured I'd give them a try. There were no instructions in the package on or the tubes to tell you how to install them. I knew from reading on line that I needed to disconnect the ballasts and connect the tubes directly to 120V AC. Just to make sure I went to the Brillihood website and they have instructions on how to re-configure your fixture to use these LED tubes.First, if you are going to install these yourself and are NOT familiar with working with 120V wiring you should probably hire an electrician to make the changes for you. That said the following common sense safety tips may help:1 - Switch off the circuit breaker that feeds the fixture that you are going to be modifying and also turn off the light switch for the fixture.2 - Cut the wires to the old ballasts. I cut the white and black wires very close to the ballasts, and the wires to the tombstones so that I left plenty of length about 12" from the tombstones to make it easier to tie those wires together.3 - Make sure that you don't have any bare wire exposed after you have made the modification. Be sure to use Wire Nuts to secure the connections.4 - Double check your wiring to make sure it is correct.5 - When putting things back together and putting any covers back in place be sure to not pinch any of the wires which could cause a short over time.6 - After everything is buttoned up and the LED tubes are in place turn the circuit breaker back on and switch on the light. It should "just work".I disconnected the two old ballasts and connected the tombstones at one end of the fixture to the neutral (White) lead and the tombstones at the other end to the hot (Black) lead. You tie all of the wires from the 4 tombstones together at each end of the fixture and then connect all 8 of those wires to either the Black or White line from the input power. In my case I used the two white wires from the old ballast in parallel, and the same for the two black wires from the old ballasts for the other end. Use a large wire nut at each end to connect the wires together and for good measure wrap with electrical tape.I physically removed the ballasts since they are heavy and are no longer needed. Finally I put the wiring cover back in place and installed the 4 LED tubes.Turned on the power there was plenty of light. These are quite bright, much brighter than the old tubes were. Note that if your lighting fixture has a clear (or no) cover these will be extremely bright. In my case I have a diffusing cover so I didn't try this trick, but if they are too bright for you then try rotating the LED tubes so that the LEDs are facing up towards the fixture. That will reduce the light a bit. Again I haven't tried this but it might be something to try if you find they are too bright.I'll be changing out the bulbs in the other fixture in a couple of days. Since I order the 10 pack of LED tubes I'll have two spares left over.So far these are working great.Note: Do NOT just try to pop these tubes into the fixture without making the changes to disconnect the ballasts. It either will not work or you will damage the LED tubes and shorten their life.I'll have to see how these hold up, but if they do as well as other LED bulbs I've installed in the home these should go for a good number of years. At least that is what I'll expecting.

Easy to install if you are a bit handy
I have been looking for solution to replace the florescent T8 bulbs in the shop light fixtures in my basement and garage, not just for the efficiency but also because it's harder to find replacement bulbs and recycle them. They are all flush mount and a mix of hardwired and pull chain. I thought about getting new fixtures with built-in LEDs, but that would cost more and if the LEDs started to go out, I would have to change the whole fixture. The other issue is that the wiring in my house is very old, making fixture replacement more difficult. I decided to go with these bulbs. The dual-ended power made it easier to rewire my existing fixtures (remove ballasts, transformers, etc). Though I had a couple different types of fixtures, it was easier to take them apart and send the hot to one end and the neutral to the other. The bulbs don't seem to care which side is hot. After rewiring the first fixture, it became easy to point where I could rewire a fixture in less than 10 minutes. The light coming from the new bulbs is almost indistinguishable from the old bulbs, except that they are brighter. I replaced most of my fixtures and ordered another round of bulbs to finish the job and have some spares.Tip: Figure out how to take the fixture apart while it's still attached to the ceiling (turn of the breaker, obviously). While it sounds like it's easier to take the whole fixture down and work on it, it creates more work in terms of mounting but also trickier to deal with old house wiring.

All but one tube worked. Great price, Fast shipping, Nice light, Seller does respond.
Shipped very fast, arrived within a day or two. All in prefect physical condition.Ha, the tube wrapping does say that the lights work with the ballast, but that is not the case. Funny, because I did not find the half sheet of paper in the shipping box verifying that the tubes need to be wired without the ballast until I was installing the last four bulbs. (I knew I ordered non-ballast tubes, but the description on the each tube wrapper did cause confusion/concern at first. Luckily, there are other reviews describing the misprint.)One of the ten tubes did not work. Asked for a replacement, and the Seller responded that they would get one to me. After a week, I contacted the seller asking for a delivery estimate, or tracking number. They then responded, asking if I would accept a refund for the bad bulb. I said yes, and they then followed through quickly. The lights are nice and bright. For the week or so that I have used them, they are fine. Feel the purchase was a good value. Like that there no longer is that florescent light/ballast buzzing.

Seem good quality from first use
Bulbs were well packaged, quite simple to install for hands-on people (but I am an electrician). The 5000k ones I purchased are very bright. Personally, I think these would be good for shops needing bright light. For inside I think the non-frosted bulbs would likely be better if used under a frosted lens, but that would be a matter of choice. If they hold up to the long-life description I will be fully satisfied with my purchase and would repurchase. As for company support, I have no knowledge.

Problem Solver
After making several costly mistakes in the past year trying to find the perfect lights for an ongoing workshop/warehouse retrofit I finally found the lights I was looking for and decided smart to stick with them however, on the next part of my project, mainly because of the price I gambled on another companies product again. After getting everything connected and keeping my fingers crossed when I flipped the switch I can say that I was extremely satisfied with my decision. A slightly different colour than the others however just as bright and almost half the price, very satisfied and have since ordered more of the same.

Great price, excellent value, responsive customer service
I would have given the seller and the product 5 stars on performance and value for money. However, of the 20 tubes I bought, 5 were unusable because pins broke off, either when installing the tube and, in a couple of cases, when removing the plastic protector while unpacking the tube. This was very disappointing, as the ones I installed successfully work brilliantly. I've now upped my rating again to 5 stars because of the helpful and responsive attitude of the manufacturer when I complained about the problem. They immediately dispatched replacement tubes without even requesting return of the faulty ones. The pins on the new tubes seem quite secure, so maybe it was just a bad batch I received the first time.I have a barn with fluorescent fittings with over 100 tubes. I'd replaced many of these with new standard tubes, only to find that it was the ballast packs which were faulty. These Brillihood tubes do not require a ballast and rewiring the fittings to eliminate the ballast is a simple procedure.Provided I have no more problems with broken pins, i would highly recommend these tubes on price and performance.

6000K Led lights replaced our fluorescent tubes.
You need a basic understanding of electricity to replace your fluorscent tubes. You have to cut the wires to your ballast and in my case I had double ballasts in each light. I then tied all the blue/red wires together with the black power wire, and tied all the yellow wires together with the white neutral wire. It took less than half an hour to install and replace the 8 fluorescent tubes The light is white (6000K) which is what I wanted. Very happy with the purchase. I bought the 10 pack for $89.99. Another benefit is there is no more humming from the ballasts and the lights come on instantly without any flicker.

Great value for the money and excellent, clear light output
Used these to upgrade existing t8 fixtures in my garage. I liked the idea of reusing the fixtures I already have mounted rather than buying new LED fixtures and having the old fluorescents go into the garbage.Installation is fairly easy if you are remotely handy. The first fixture I removed the ballast from and rewired took about 15 minutes and less than 10 minutes per fixture thereafter. The light is much brighter and clearer than my old fluorescents and these should last significantly longer before requiring replacement.Well worth the cost and small amount of time to increase the amount of light in garage without having to remove or replace fixtures.I will be buying another pack of these to replace other t8s around the property.

Customer service doesn’t exist
The media could not be loaded. I’m changing my review from 5 stars to 1 after having them for 2 years.Very bad customer services. 7 out of 20 lights died within year and a half.. tried to reach customer support for the warranty multiple times, but they never replied.
