Must have for my Ender 3 V2
This one upgrade made my Creality Ender 3 V2 printer much more reliable.Creality makes a good printer in the Ender but the included single gear extruder is, in my opinion, the weakest component in this printer. It's so frustrating to get several hours into a print only the hear that infamous "thunk thunk" sound coming from the extruder not diving the filament and ruining your print. After trying several adjustments and replacing the bowden tube I was ready to sell this printer and just give up on 3-D printing. Then I read some reviews regarding replacing the OEM extruder with this dual gear drive upgrade and it has been an amazing experience. I no longer worry about letting my printer run all night for those long 30 hours prints. It just works! The only thing I need to do is blow out the dust from the gears a few times a month since the dual drive bites into the filament so much better. The instructions were OK, but since I ordered my printer as a kit and assembled it myself it was no problem installing this extruder.I highly recommended this dual gear drive upgrade.

Works Smoothly!
I recently upgraded to this Dual Gear Extruder for my Ender 3 v2 and I have been blown away by the results. The installation process was straightforward and the included instructions were easy to follow.Since making the upgrade, I have noticed a significant improvement in the quality of my prints. The dual gear design allows for more precise filament control, resulting in smoother and more detailed prints. I have also noticed a reduction in filament stripping and jamming, which has been a constant issue for me in the past.Overall, I am extremely happy with my purchase of this extruder and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve the performance of their printer.

Nice Upgrade, Could Use Small Improvement
I ordered this to replace the stock extruder on my BIQU B1 SE Plus, which was slipping a bit and didn’t have adjustable tension. It turned out that my slipping wasn’t due to the extruder, rather it was the stepper motor current. I bumped the current up from 800mA to 850mA and that solve the problem, but I’d already installed this extruder, so I’m still using it.After I calibrated the E steps, this extruder prints beautifully. The listing says to use a value of 139, which was pretty close. I want to say that 138.7 is what I ended up using, but 139 should be close enough. The extruder works flawlessly, and while there aren’t any included instructions, it’s a pretty straightforward process. It is critical that the toothed grooves on the stepper motor gear is precisely aligned with the other other one. If there is any misalignment, you will get a huge pile of ground plastic in the extruder, which I experienced first-hand. I readjusted the gear, and now it is printing without grinding plastic - mostly. This extruder sits higher than the stock one, so the filament break sensor is too low to use. I will raise the sensor up as soon as I get the longer screw delivered, but for now, I’m just bypassing the sensor. I have my filament running directly from the spool into the extruder, and this is where I’m still seeing some plastic shavings. The hole where the filament goes in must have a sharp edge in it somewhere, so it shaves the filament where it threads in. I’m sure that this will be solved after I start using the filament sensor again and the filament is threaded in straight. This would have been perfect if they included standoffs and longer screws to raise the filament break sensor, but it’s an easily solved problem since you have a 3D printer after all. This is a really nice extruder, and it produces better results than the stock one.

Zero instructions but you can figure it out (sort of)
I gave this three stars because it does work. What got it a lower rating were the lack of installation instructions and the fact this isn't a straight "drop in" upgrade. To be fair if you've messed with Creality and similarly styled 3D printers then installing this drive isn't too hard to figure out but for the novice having included installation instructions would be a must as there are a number of pieces. When I stated this wasn't a straight drop in upgrade what I mean is this unit is much taller than the stock drive unit, as you can see in the pictures I included the filament path sits higher which unfortunately didn't line up with the stock filament run out sensor on my Ender 3. Also the gear ratio is different from the stock version so I had to tweak my flow rate to stop it under-extruding, again I believe some included instructions would have eased some pain. Finally being much taller it used up the available shaft space on my stepper which didn't leave room for the advancement knob that was originally installed. In the end this unit looks well manufactured but all of the additional fixes that need to be done to get it to work make for a problematic install.

No cable stay but works well
I installed this on an Ender 3 V2. It's a straight forward install. The only thing missing is the clip the original has for holding the wires to the extruder. There's no even a space to insert a cable tie. I may put something under one of the screws but for now it works as-is. There's no real need to tether the cable to the extruder but it does take some pressure off the bowden tube.I'm using Klipper with pressure advance and print well at 150mm/sec with this. I was printing at that speed with the OEM but it started to fade with some algae filament and never recovered.
