Over the years I’ve had a timer to light up our flag at night. None of the three I had were worth it. Now we went with the Dewenwils timer. Wow, what a chain with this new timer. We found it was so easy to use and reliable every time to work as it should. What a joy to be free of the junk from the last. We believe we found one of the best timers we ever purchased, but we would not be hesitant in ordering this timer again. There is not any disappointment either wth this Dewenwils product and “highly” recommend it above all others on the market. No regrets!! Thanks!

Not a quality product - It worked very well, and I was happy - until it stopped working. Didn't have more than 3 hrs run time. I have reached out to the manufacturer - no reply yet. If they replace it and it performs as it should, I will redo the review. Until then it is just a bad > update - after contacting the company, and a few follow up questions, I was promptly sent a replacement. Additionally, they offered a full refund. Although the original stopped working, I must regrade the purchase.

Love this one! Wish I had bought this first. It’s a nice solid remote and the timer allows me to switch off the lights without needing to remember. It’s a great buy. I’m using it for my outdoor lights. The extra plug point is great for adding lights during the holidays. only wish they had given a plug cover. (as my plug-in is facing upwards due to the light string..and that might be a problem when it rains. no issues with the device.)

This outdoor timer works great I used it for Christmas lights. I did not have any issues with rain while using the timer. I did mount it two feet from the ground as the product instructed using a plant hook. I utilized the timer with two extension cords and was able to light 4 small trees and one large tree. Every evening the timer automatically went on at dusk and off 4 hours later. The timer has four different options 2,4,6 and 8 hours. It was so convenient to not have to go outside and plug the lights in and unplug them each evening.

This is a good product. It's simple to use and gives a lot of flexibility. Using the remote it can be made to turn on and off manually, or it can sense darkness and turn on. If you don't want the lights on all night, you can select the number of hours it will stay on after nightfall. Except for manual operation, it will remember your selection and repeat it the next day. My only complaint was a manufacturing fault in the remote. When powered up the remote insisted on turning on the outlet. I found the ON button was jammed on. I disassembled the remote and saw that the plastic frame that held all the buttons had not been pressed all the way onto its mounting peg. Once pressed on and reassembled, it worked fine.

Worked very well in snow and rain. Remote worked flawlessly from inside the house.

I purchased one of these units about 2 years ago and it has been working great. I am using this one for an outdoor water fountain. To disable the dawn/dusk feature I just put some electrical tape over the sensor and it works great as just a timer. I recently purchased a second one to operate some lights. Unfortunately I did not think to ask about a different channel before I purchased. Waiting to find out if I can get a different remote control channel.

I purchased this light sensor timer about six months ago (Oct 2025) and installed it on my covered patio — completely shielded from direct sun and rain. It worked fine until a recent thunderstorm, after which it stopped working entirely. I did some troubleshooting before giving up: I unscrewed the unit and tested the circuit board by plugging it in without the outer cover — and it powered on just fine. But the moment I reassembled it with the cover and screws, it stopped working again. This tells me there’s likely a short, a grounding issue, or a design flaw where the cover interferes with the circuit under pressure. For a product marketed as waterproof, this is a serious disappointment. Amazon customer support couldn’t help and directed me to contact the manufacturer directly. If you’re planning to use this outdoors, even in a sheltered spot, I’d think twice. Save yourself the hassle and look for a more reliable brand.

These timers are awesome and super simple. I install holiday lighting for people and these are the most straight forward and durable version of an outdoor timer that I could find on amazon. I highly recommend these!
