I’ll be completely honest. I have used these two years in a row on a back woods canoe camping trip. We have never flipped or dropped our phones, so I have never tested if they are water proof or if they float. I will say based on the material that they would definitely float. The ceil also seems relatively good. I’m not brave enough to actually submerge my phone to test it, but I am confident enough in this product to not wrap my phone in sandwich bags to double protect it. That being said I wear it around my neck out there. It is typically fine while canoeing, although just the bulkiness can be slightly uncomfortable especially if it’s not tucked in my life jacket correctly. It definitely is uncomfortable to wear on the portages though. But any product would be when it has an item the weight of an iPhone in it. I definitely will never go on a camping trip that involves water without it again. It is a fantastic price, and when you’re in the middle of nowhere keeping your phone from getting wet if you flip in May in Minnesota could be life saving since the water is so cold. So it is definitely worth it for phone protection and also a really important survival tool. I use voiceover so the touchscreen through the case is hard because swiping doesn’t work overly well, but for sighted people I’m sure that would work fine since just touching it works for me. I just don’t have the speed through it for double tapping which is required for voiceover. There is also no real good way to wake your phone up. Mine has raise to wake off and the lock button on the side isn’t overly accessible without pulling the phone out. Which is fine with me since I pull it out anyway to use it on land so I’m fine with that feature.

Bought these for a trip to French Polynesia that involved snorkeling and lots of time in the water. These held up well. Phones went in and out easily and stayed dry. Being able to touch the screen worked well when above water. Underwater was hit or miss, so we ended up starting videos above the surface. These are in line with other Pelican products in terms of quality and durability.

Does its job (keeping my phone dry) but was a bit hard to use the phone when it was in the case, and I kept knocking into my phone with the plastic latch. Maybe I would get used to it over time but I kept feeling like I was going to scratch my screen or camera.

I keep my phone in this case when I sail my small sailboat and I it has a lot going for it. The clasp is secure and watertight. The plastic covering the screen is hard enough not to get cut when I'm rough with it, i.e. climbing in the boat and sandwiching it between me and the side. It's pretty easy to use, even when wet since the case is designed to keep the plastic just off the screen - not sure about underwater yet. I'm a fan of the strength of the plastic loop on the top of the case as well, while it looks thin in the amazon picture, it has some depth so it's pretty solid. Some cases have flimsy attachment points and I've had to swim for a phone before. It is not capable of recognizing my face (I use an iphone XR contained in a second slim case without a screen protect) but I've never had a waterproof case that did so it's a hard thing to complain about. As advertised it floats quite readily. Using the edges of the case to contain the foam makes the case more streamlined than some and also protects the phone. There's some bulk to it's unavoidable in a floating case. Last, the strap made of really tough material, I have a slight concern that if I caught it on something it might strangle me climbing back into the boat. I will probably add a plastic buckle on the loop for that reason. The plastic hook that connects it to the phone is not as robust but is pretty much what I wanted/expected. I'd love some brighter colors but otherwise it's perfect for my needs.

THIS IS THE ONE! I traveled to Iceland and this pouch saved my phone every single time. It worked perfectly under the rain and in the hot springs, MUST HAVE. I have used it at the pool and in the beach and again, it WORKS! Seriously, this is NOW one of my most precious travel items!

These phone protectors look and protect as advised, but the phone heats up inside. I had to remove my phone after a short time because it started heating up to a point that the battery might go into thermal runaway and ignite.

The pelican 2 pack marine phone holders are as described. I've tested them, they are waterproof and do float with my phone locked in the pouch. They are slightly larger than my old waterproof phone holder because of the floation padding. I use these fishing and boating. Inexpensive as well. These meet my needs.

My IPhone stayed dry and protected at the waterpark, Pool and beach. It’s a good quality case. However though my Iphone 17 Max Pro fits inside, when taking video or pics, the camera is partially covered creating a Black shadow in my videos.

Absolutely love this phone holder! Everything stayed completely dry, we were in a pontoon and with a few accidental splashes the phone stayed dry. The transparent TPU window is crystal clear, letting me snap underwater shots effortlessly. It even floats so was able to take the phone with me to take pics of my kids. I use both a Pixel 8 and Pixel 9, and while both fit, it’s snug. The lanyard clip is sturdy and well made. Great protection, high‑end feel, and totally dependable for water adventures!
