Great value

Works great!
I've had two other types over the years. The ability of just plugging it directly to your phone and it just works.... So, nice. I only wish it would keep it's shape just a bit more (more stiff). But, in specific situations, a coat hanger taped to it is all that's needed.I would buy it again... Thank you.

Just a temporary review for now. Till I get some more use out of it.
When I bought this, I also ordered a pack of C to usb Micro adaptors (Main phone is a J7) turned out that wasn't necessary. It comes with an adaptor as well as another adaptor that looks like it's usb male - type c female. So don't waste money buying another adaptor.Do make sure you follow those instructions before buying though and use an app to check your devices compatibility for OTG. Sure enough my phone I checked (samsung J7), was compatible. When I received my package and installed an app (Mscopes is what I used) it indeed was fine... but when I tried using it on another device (I didn't check compatibility before) even though I had an app on it, it didn't work. Tried an app for older android, didn't work. Checked OTG... not compatible. Not really an issue though. It does require an app like Mscopes to use. If you do not install an app, the light will still light up, but the camera will be your device's camera instead of the Scope Rope's.Mega Pixels, for those who are unaware, is not picture quality, but rather size. However, the quality of the images is indeed low. Still much better than a $35 DSLR camera purchased from... well, China...The light on the end is fairly bright. I made the mistake of plugging it into my phone when the lense was pointed at my face for the first time. Light was already on by default so I saw some spots for a bit. Adjustable brightness and being able to turn it off is a great function. Housing for the brightness control is a little bulky imho.It does what it's supposed to. It's compatible as the app said it was. For the price, it's a great little addition. Will make some things like using electrical plugs in tight areas a bit easier as well as making repairs and adjustments on vehicles.

It's OK as a single-use tool
I bought this looking for basically the cheapest USB snake camera I could find to look behind some drywall to see the extent of some water damage before just tearing it out. I've used it a few times and the quality is barely up to the task to see what's going on. The light on the end is nice, but the picture quality is poor. It's also hard to navigate, but maybe that's a normal expectation of these cameras. To get it behind the wall I drilled a hole a little bit bigger than you'd use for a drywall anchor, but not so big I couldn't patch it with standard drywall putty, so the size of it is nice. That said, the 3 or so jobs I've used it for I've had mixed results on being confident about it. Now if you are trying to find if there are pipes behind a wall (and are willing to drill the camera in for it), it's good enough for that but wasn't good enough to see the dark/light shades of wet/dry wood of joists and drywall to see how far water got.I used an app called "USB Camera Viewer" by Homesoft, LLC on the Play store (Android) to use the camera and it worked perfectly. I tried to find a 3rd party app with the least amount of spooky permissions requests and no ads. I think the camera suggests an app (not made by the company) but I didn't try it. It's nice that this shows up as a standard USB camera at least.

Great product
Love this thing so much I broke one accidently turning a engine over smashing one and had to buy another. Great picture quality, easy to use flexes well, very cheap compared to buying something from the store of parts truck. Cable is super long but could come in handy in many applications. I use it for engine fuel tanks and hard to reach places so see!

The sneaky, sleazy, thing no one MENTIONED!!!
Clearly the positive reviews I've read, did not include the fact that, you are not JUST buying a scope, because their software, includes adware, and "watermarks" and it is annoying to me, but along with the scope, I also bought the privilege to pay more for the scope, by buying a package for $2.99 a month or for the whole year for $27.90 and they won't nag you again next year. Isn't that nice of them? If I had to guess, I bet that they will also auto charge for you as well.Just looked back over the ad information for this product and I still don't see any warnings about the adware in their software, or the watermarks, or that the "freeware" is deliberately crippled so they can sell you the same software with all the options & a better quality picture.I have also gone to their website and if you go there...well, you should go to their website: camerafistore.com.How comfortable does that make you feel? For me it's at the same level as finding several hypodermic needles on the beach that I'm walking on, but not as bad as finding dead junkies in the parking lot of my daughters school. For me at least, I feel like I just bought a used car, but failed in thinking that I needed to make sure that the sale included the tires. Oh, and to drive that point home, (no pun intended) did you know that this item also has a case? You can buy that too, separately, for about $7.00 bucks. So I'm planning to return this item because the morals of the distributer are broken. It's sneaky, it's sleazy, it's oily, and it's wrong.
