I have a little crossbeak chicken that needs deep water and food dishes to be able to eat and drink. These work well for her. I normally don’t like the cups because chickens poop on everything! But my special girl needs special cups. I like that they auto fill. So far I just twist it upside down and empty it to clean it and that’s been working great.

I was skeptical about the whole idea of plastic cups but I installed them on a 5 gallon bucket and used water proof silicone behind the plastic washers and they have lasted well in my coop and the water stays cooler. Only problem is chickens are not clean and they get the cups dirty so you need to spray them every day to keep them clean.

Need a way to provide more than one days water for my hens. Added four of these cups to a five gallon bucket and it gets the job done

These poultry water cups are perfect for chickens and quail, both use them easily and no leaks! Had an issue with the wing nuts on a few initially but the seller was super awesome to work with and corrected the issue right away. They're easy to clean also and even though the water in the stock tank may be hot in the summer, the cups keep it cool so that's a bonus!

We have gone through many chicken watering containers only to find that after a few uses, they start leaking or just quit working. Found these and thought I would give it a try. I am very satisfied with the kit and so are my chickens. They have fresh water now and no longer do I worry about them running out or the water leaking out everywhere! Great concept on how it works with the weight of the water turning the flow on or off! Finally a answer to a long time problem!

I've used "horizontal side mount poultry waterer nipples" and "chicken waterer cups" from a couple different sources for a number of years. The nipples are a bust, consistently leaking. But I keep buying and replacing them... I prefer the waterer cups as I like using buckets as waterers. They work well until they don't, usually caused by dirt plugging the passage and preventing water from flowing; or the mechanism fails and they leak all the time. Soaking in a bit of bleach and a shot of compressed air sometimes solves the blockage. Most often they fail just because the birds bump into them and they break off. There's nothing I can do about boisterous birds. That said, THESE waterer cups may work out better. I installed five upon receipt and I like what I see -- first, they are a bit different in design; they don't stick out as far. But to my surprise, they also rotate so that they can stick out even less. So, rotated 90 degrees, they may just be out of the traffic as the birds run around their coop before being let out in the morning. We'll see...until then, 4 stars, hopefully will become 5.

They work really well. They get really dirty, really fast and are hard to clean. You either have to use a hose to blast them clean, or twist them around to dump them. It would have been nice if they flipped up to empty and clean.They didn't leak though.
