Met my expectations
I am very pleased with the rod and the description on the Detail Page is exactly what I received. There are nine guides, which I have found to be the correct number for a 7' rod. They are well attached and although too soon to tell seem to be corrosion resistant. The text on the rod that shows the Action, Power, Lure weight, etc. is not too small as I often find on other rods so I am able to read it with my 57 year old eyes.I especially like the non-slip grip and padding under it. Well designed and makes the rod easy to control when casting.I don't expect any failures with this rod but this takes time and if there any I will come back to edit the review but as of now it clearly deserves five stars. How I rate products:When I give a rating to a product said product automatically starts with four stars as I rarely will purchase anything below four stars. I then add and/subtract stars based on certain criteria as listed below.1. If an item is exactly what I expected and nothing more it will receive a four or five star rating. The difference between the two is a bit subjective but is also based on the information on the Detail Page, customer service (if necessary), good instruction manual, etc.2. If an item surpasses my expectations, it will definitely receive five-stars and an extra callout3. If an item goes slightly below my expectations, it will lose a star (3 Stars)4. If the instructions for the product (if needed) are poorly written (hard to understand due to language issues or grammar) or just too hard to follow it will lose a star no matter if the product meets or exceed my expectations. I hate poorly written instructions5. If a product is significantly below my expectations, I will deduct two stars6. It will be rare that I would give a product one star since I buy mostly items that have a 4+ rating but in rare instances there may be a good reason that even a four-star product receives a one star rating from me. It could be because of customer service issues from the company but whatever the case is I will clearly explain my reason for giving a product only one starAdditionally, if a product fails over a short time period I will come back and update my review but will also take into consideration how the company’s customer service handles the repair or replacement. I understand that issues sometime arise, even with the best of products and a rating update may not be necessary.

And another amazing BUBBA rod, I am addicted!
This rod is great for casting reels, I took it to sports store and they mounted my reel on the rod and inserted the line and adjusted it for me no problem.I paid a modest fee at the sports store and paid for the line yet I like that level of professioanl service.I have every reason to recommend this rod, it is the perfect flex for me and will be with me for many years. I really do like these Bubba rods and am officially addicted to them. It is amazing the difference between the rods that we used to use "old school" and these new high tech material rods. The feel, the weight, the flex are all quite ipmressive and really amazing compared to 70's and 80's things we used to use. Mabye the difference is the space age materials versus the old fiberglass that was slip apart and realy had no flex back in the day.

Impressive casting rod
My first casting rod, but not the rod I got first from BUBBA. First impression is that it is am amazing rod, it is fairly light in weight, extremely sensitive and a ton of fun to cast. After reading the specs I was even more impressed. This is a 24 ton rated graphite rod, something you should expect to have in a intermediate to premium level rod. The non-slip grip feels really good in my hands and I could fish with it the whole day. The exposed blank together with the graphite material really helps me feel every little detail through a braided line of what is happening under the water, the experience is truly amazing. Highly recommended.

Light weight and smooth casting
I paired this rod with a Lew’s Speed Spool LFS Inshore reel loaded with 20-lb braid. It works well. The rod feels light weight and well balanced, and it casts smoothly. From a performance perspective, I can’t tell much difference between this and my St. Croix Premier and Triumph rods. Looks like a good products that’s fairly priced.

hard to transport but nice
BUBBA Tidal 7' Medium Inshore Casting Rod is a nice heavy rod. It does not come with a reel, and it does not fold or unscrew, which can be problematic unless you have a big vehicle. the weight is nice and it is well made

Very comfortable rod.
This rod is very comfortable to hold. I can't attest to the corrosion resistant part of this but it works very well. I don't use it in salt water and it still works good for the lakes I do go to. Definitely worth the money.
