Support Fixed the Problem
Sadly the battery door was glued shut and the fan sensor doesn't work either (bearings are toast, squeals and stops). I get things can happen and have reached out to the seller. I will update the review if they respond. UPDATE: The manufacturer did respond and replaced the bad probe, unit is working now. The battery cover had to be pried off but I was able to get it to open.

The temperature reading varies constantly by 3-9 degrees. As a result of a simple torsos reading can not be trusted what faith can you have in the other readings. I would return it but I have thrown away the packaging.
