These kits never disappoint. It looks SO good all lit up. This is one of the more frustrating light kits I've installed, because of the model - not the kit - but was still enjoyable.

Installing the lights is not an easy task but I didn't expect it to be. Care was taken in the installation planning to provide ways to secure the lights as well as run all the wires. It's a lot but well worth it. I just took my time and ran through the install over multiple sessions. I also wanted to take my time to be careful with the wires and the lights so that the install looked good in the end and boy oh boy does it!. Instead of being true to the state of the car in the film I personally wanted as many lights as possible. That is why I left the spinning light on the back but also installed the flying car wheel lights. I'm very happy with the results. It's nice and bright. A great addition to my office space.

This light kit takes the LEGO Back to the Future DeLorean to a whole new level. The installation was pretty straightforward, with well-organized components and clear instructions. Once installed, the lights really make the model shine. It adds so much character and brings the display to life—just like in the movie. That said, a quick word of warning: you’ll need some patience and about 4–5 hours to complete the install. This kit definitely isn’t for young kids; it requires care, attention to detail, and a steady hand. But if you're up for the challenge, the final result is 100% worth it. A must-have upgrade for any true fan!

Pretty good kit. Plenty of blue lights spread around the car for a nice effect? And the tail lights are terrific. The instructions can be difficult to distinguish what is happening in each step. Some of the wires don’t really fit under the bricks well and the brick connections end up being a lot weaker after installation. One problem I encountered was that the flight mode lights require that you swap out the wheels for the “old west” wheels. I didn’t keep mine so this was a big drag. Would have been nice to know since this is the distinguishing feature of this light kit vs others, and I would have purchase an alternate that had different lights if I couldn’t use the wheel lights. I ended up glue gunning the lights to the wheels. Not elegant.

This LED light kit completely changed how the Lego Delorean looks. Very bright and well placed lights. Wires and LED's are tiny, everything fits well. Some parts are pretty tough to do. The included Lego pieces aren't hollowed out enough for the bricks to feel secure. But the wife absolutely loved building it, and looks at it from her desk all day.

100% recommend building the model first. Install the light kit AFTER.

The original Lego kit itself is an 18+ kit, so my headline is quite obvious, but I figured I should reiterate for any grandparents out there looking for gift ideas. Everything looks amazing on the finished product but it is a herculean task for people inexperienced with wiring like myself. The way the pieces with LEDs fit together will itch your brain the entire time, and glue in some spots may be required for peace of mind if you're anxious like me. Someone else suggested watching videos for the best cable management, which I wish I did because the instruction books don't provide much help in that regard. For my kit I built the whole thing from scratch while installing the lights. I thought it would be easier that way than retrofitting from the completed set like the instructions are laid out. I don't recommend this. It took way too much deciphering of the light kit instructions to get the order right and was more mentally complicated overall. Disassembly to install will still be a pain in the butt, but not nearly as much.

I was struggling to review this product as it is a love hate relationship. In the end I gave it 3 stars because of some things that bothered me. Pros: -this looks amazing when done. -parts are well built -it worked -lots of images in the instruction book Cons: -the lego pieces DO NOT sit the same way after placing the wires / led inside the pieces. You get a slight gap which causes some parts to fall off easily if you pull on the wire. This could have been resolved if the manufacturer made special designed replacement pieces that held the LED's. They give you this for a few of the parts but this should have been done for all of the clear parts that held lights. They could have manufactured the clear parts and included a small indent for the wire to pass under so that the pieces sit more flush. -the instructions are somewhat confusing. Especially when it comes to running wires. -wire management was a pain. It is a lot of small wires and you really have to go out of your way to hide them. - Took a LONG time to install. It requires removing and reinstalling a lot of pieces. Again this could have been helped if they provided pre-wired / fabricated pieces. You will need tweezers and patience to put this together but the end result will look great.

This is the fourth set of Briksmax lights I've bought for my husband's Lego sets. They compliment the sets brilliantly and really bring them to life. The quailty is superb and the instructions are really clear and easy to follow. The lights/wires obviously need to be teeny, which means they can be a bit fiddly. They're not cheap, but are great quality.

Was impressed by the quality of the lights and wires, was a little difficult to put these in, blocks kept coming apart. but as long as it’s for display only, I wouldn’t worry about them coming off on their own. Will probably buy more light kits in the future. I do wish there was a better way to store batteries, maybe future kits could utilize the lego battery packs used in their trains, or maybe just include an adapter that attaches to the “powered up” battery box for those that already have them laying around.
