I'm a homeschooling mom, and I have had many disappointing kits, so this one was very welcome. It had everything I needed, (no stopping right when eager kids are enthralled just to go to the store). I did not need to do everything in the kit first just to see if it worked. Most importantly, it delighted my kids and made them love science right away on our first science class of the semester. I did all of the experiments and only two were less than amazing. I learned how cameras, lenses, light bending, eye physiology, colors and history all work together. Everything worked, which is rare for a product with so many experiments at an inexpensive price.

My 10 year old son rated this a '4' because the pieces on the dye cut sheet break too easily. Otherwise, he really likes the kit because it is very educational.

My 7 year old son is frequently asking if we can do the activities from this optical illusion set. I assemble the pieces together and the booklet gives a brief description how the illusion works. It's fun to see him light up with delight when something unexpected happens.

I've selected this item for experiments. When I've got it, I revealed more options for exepriments that it was described on teh site. So, I was surprised! Very good and inetersting item. I'd recommend this item to pupils and teachers.

It's cool. It would be nice if the kit came with glue. Not everyone has glue just laying around. More explanations of what's going on with the projects would be great, but a quick Google fills that gap. Some projects don't really need to be projects because they are so simple they could have been just explained. Something tells me they did this to be able to say they have X number of projects included. Oh, and they could have thrown in some pre-made 3D glasses... I mean, COME ON! But it's fun explaining things to my son about science and he likes it, so that's most important.

Purchased this item as a gift and to my surprise it came in a beat up box and was opened! Clearly not new like advertised. Will definitely be returning!

He picked it from an advertisement and his 2 Grandmothers bought it for him. He goes to his room to focus and learn away from his 5 year old twin brother and sister!!
