Yes my grandson plays his in the bathtub. The tuners can rust if not dried off... but yeah except for the metal tuners, it’s essentially waterproof.

Yes, it does get hot if you leave it in direct sun. I would be concerned it could warp if left too long.

Q: If I string this with a low g string, will it fit in the slot on the nut?

It's a plastic ukulele for a little wet, rocking fun. If ya need to get all fancy dancy with a low "G" go find an instrument with a little better tonal quality and go wax your mustache ya geek, this puppy screams for a little 12 bar blues!
