Awkward to mount
I live in the desert, so my usage is for cooling only. If you're using it to circulate warm air in the winter you'll probably have a different mounting angle. I mounted the fan up high and then pointed the fan angled downward directly over the workspace. It definitely makes a difference on a 112-degree day. On the high setting, the fan is somewhat noisy but not uncomfortably loud. The 20" wall fan is very well built (except the fasteners- see below) almost too commercial standards. It's well packaged with no missing parts. Now onto the installation. We have 12' sidewalls and I wanted the fan to be mounted high. The bracket is "U" shaped, meaning if you want your adjustment to be left-right then mount the bracket vertically. If you want an Up-Down adjustment mount the bracket horizontally. I wanted the fan to blow downward so I mounted horizontally.I was working off of an 8' step ladder and the fan as an assembly is quite awkward to hold properly in place while you install the lag screw fastener. I decided the only option was to remove the fan assembly from the bracket, and then reattach after the bracket is firmly in place. When you remove the fan from the bracket the fan to bracket fasteners will not stay in place. It was impossible to try and attach the awkward five-piece fasteners per side while at the top of a step ladder. I ended up disassembling the fan unit, removing the front grill and installing longer carriage bolts that could be fastened securely before climbing the ladder. The unit to bracket fasteners is complex and has too many parts. The install took way longer than it should have. I am an experienced builder with pro tools and still struggled with the mounting. They need to be redesigned.Once in place, the fan works very well and just what we needed in the shop.

Just what my garage needed!
Florida summers make having to do anything in the garage miserable. This fan is a great addition as it moves a significant amount of air at a reasonable sound level (74db @4 ft away). I agree with others that there isn't a lot of speed variation between low, medium and high but I keep it on high at all times. Installation would be easier if the fan could be taken off the bracket, mount the bracket to the ceiling and then put the fan back in the bracket. This was a minor inconvenience since I only have to hang it once. The only other thing that I noticed was that the pull chain doesn't stay centered if you pull on it. It will usually hang behind the standoff at the back of the fan designed to keep it from resting against the back shroud of the fan. When it does this, it adds a little noise. A cheap fix for this was a black cable tie around the stand off with the pull chain captured in it. I also put the fan on an Amazon Outlet that is tied into my home automation system so I just say "Alexa, turn the garage fan on".Once you get this fan hung, it is really nice.

Perfect!!
I looked at all the local big box stores for a fan for our deck. We are in central FL and it is HOT 90% of the time.Honestly, the affordability of this fan has me doubting the quality but the reviews encouraged me to give it a try.Installation was quick and easy. The speed and wind output are amazing!!!! The noise level is appropriate for the amount of air circulation.I could not be more pleased with this product, it is exactly what we needed and a price that can’t be beat.

LOUD!
This is the most "serious" fan ever! It moves a LOT of air, too much actually. It's extremely loud on the lowest setting and you really do feel like you're in a tornado. Wish it had a lower setting. This thing is borderline a construction fan.

Great fan
It’s a commercial fan so I understand the noise. Easy to install. Long cord. Great buy.
