I needed a lightweight, nice-looking stepladder for my floor-to-ceiling library area, and had found a few candidates on Amazon. They all met the size and weight criteria I needed, so I chose according to the reviews, where people consistently mentioned how sturdy and stable this one is. I weigh close to 200 lbs, and this ladder exceeded my expectation. I feel very safe. It doesn't wobble or lean. It looks very attractive in my newly-renovated library where it folds up against the wall, and if I need to use it in another room, it's light and easy to carry. Thank you, fellow reviewers!

Ladder steps are 10 1/2 wide by 7 3/4 deep. For someone with size 15 6X wide feet, well over 6 feet tall,200 lbs, I had no problem standing on the highest, 4th, step to access edge of roof area. Ladder folds and opens easily.

This is a great looking ladder that folds up nicely for kitchen use, and you don’t mind having visible. Wish that it had a safety lock to engage when open, as it feels a little shaky. The handle on the top step is nice to have rather than an open one, definitely helps my 5’2” height reach the high shelves.

Got tired of crummy step stools that always seem to take room, break easily and look ugly. This is a super deluxe product like I'd expect to see in a mansion (if mansions had step stools-- I wouldn't know). It wasn't cheap but I love it. I've taken to using it in place of my ladder for minor construction projects since it's so light, sturdy and easy to access. It folds very flat and though we don't keep it there I could imagine it by the side of a refrigerator. Not cheap-- but worth it. The last step stool you'll buy,

This step ladder is perfect for a small apartment with high ceilings.It is very light to carry around and fits folded up into a small crevice between the washing machine and the wall.It feels very sturdy when standing on it and has rubber covers at the foot of the ladder for stability. Love the gold finish.A very good household ladder!

Okay, in no conceivable universe can you call this dingy brass color “gold”. I put it next to actual gold ornaments for a fair comparison. But tbh I bought it more for function than aesthetic so I’m not going to bother sending it back. I will, however, dock 2 stars for false advertising. If I’d known this color would be so ugly I’d have just bought a black one.
