Great little key safe
This safe is excellent and looks, does and performs as it’s meant to. Size, strength and ease of fitting are outstanding. Inside measurements could have been bigger but this would have affected the overall size and strength somewhat and I believe the price. The entirely mechanical construction without any batteries or WiFi connectivity is just what I wanted, ie, not having to rely on any time or weather sensitive delicate parts, just once in a while wipe clean, PTFE based spray lubricant to make sure all remains in good working order. Ideally, I would have liked to store 3 keys with plastic fobs and a car key but it’s not big enough for all these and I removed the hook from the inside and used blu tak to hold the keys in place and to allow me to close the safe securely. The car key is kept elsewhere safely. I don’t think there is anything available on the market which will have the capacity to hold 4 chunky keys I had in mind, not at this price anyway, so really delighted with the key safe. The setting of code and positive clicking on pressing the buttons to open is very nice and reassuring, The construction is zinc alloy so non rusting outdoors. I would buy this again.

Police recommended product
I bought this after checking on the securedbydesign, police recommended products website. It is very sturdy and secure once up and easy to use. I would recommend this product.

Probably the best there is though could be better
I’d been advised to install a key safe for my aged parents as they are now receiving care at home. After looking into it, it seems this model is recommended by police and security experts as being the most robust and more difficult to crack. Nothing is securely infallible but you have to weigh up the need for safety against security with vulnerable folks. It certainly is a heavyweight piece of kit and my lay impression is the push button combination is more difficult than the rotation type combination which even I could crack based on padlocks with the same operation. There is no preset combination, you decide and set this yourself with a plastic key provided before installing. The odd thing is, the permutations are limited by the way the numbers set can be entered in any order (eg. if you decide on 1-4-9-0, the safe can also be unlocked by entering 4-0-1-9, or any combination of those numbers). Hence only a four star rating from me. Mounting the safe on a wall is straightforward for a competent diy person with a hammer drill. Four masonry screws are included in the safe (no rawlplugs needed); these screws need to go into masonry, not the mortar in between; a 5mm masonry drill bit is needed but has to be longer than the screws, so maybe an extra purchase for some. For me, it was a case of going through softish London brickwork so luckily I managed jiggling with a standard length drill bit and several goes, lengthening it out of the chuck each time. There are four screws provided which are tightened with a hex bit. Unfortunately, they’re quite soft and one of the four proved tight enough to rip the hex and couldn’t be tightened up nor removed. Still, three out of four seemed strong enough; it’d be difficult to jemmy it off the wall. It’s recommended to install it in plain sight of the front of the house yet away from the door so any crook tampering with the safe will be seen and look suspect enough to neighbours and passers by. The manufacturer’s website has a good deal of security info on this and is well worth a read before installing.

Solid quality piece of kit
Secure, heavy, quality product. Does what it says. Installed for carers and wanted to ensure that no one could crow bar it off of the wall or gain access. Solid price of kit. Easy to install and instructions to operate. Good size inside for multiple keys. Have a key hook to hang keys which is better than others had previously. More expensive but I’d rather pay more to secure house keys and minimise risk.

Great piece of kit but follow the instructions!
When you first pick this beast up, you realize it's a serious piece of kit - it's heavy and solid. Installation was quick and simple, though I STRONGLY advise watching the installation and code-setting videos and making sure you understand and follow each step. A note about choosing a code: There are 4,096 possible permutations (2 to the power 12) all of which a priori are equally likely. A smart crook might guess that most people would choose a 4-digit (no letters) code because that's what they're used to with ATMs etc. There are only 210 such codes so they might start with these. They might then try the 299 codes that are 3 buttons or less since these are quicker and easier to try. The crook who's watched the videos might see the recommendation to use a 5-7 button code and try these next. So bottom line, I think an 8 or 9 button code might be a good choice.

Solid build and design.
Bought this key safe as it was credited with the LPS 1175 Certification and Secured by Design, which is the the official UK Police Preferred Specification. It came with clear logical instructions. It can be fitted with basic DIY skills using the masonry bolts included. Setting the code was straight forward providing you follow the instructions closely. It appears to be a robust and solid piece of equipment. I have very high security locks on all my external doors which is great until you lock yourself out. I realised that a locksmith would charge a fortune to gain access and replace the locks, so this seemed like a good insurance policy just in case.

secure
Very sturdy and best key safe i have come across. It would be harder to hack the code for this key safe in comparison to other push button models
