JET Bench Grinder Stand, fits JET Industrial Grinders and Square Wheel Grinders (578173)

I have a small shop in the garage. Tried various tables, benches and "grinder stands". Nothing worked very well. Got sick and tired of stands rotating in circles, tables moving and vibrating etc. I own several pieces of high end JET equipment and like them so I thought I'd try a JET grinder stand. Couldn't be happier, stand works better than I thought it would. Expensive but works, should have bought one years ago and save a lot of money and aggravation. Right now I own 3 of these stands and couldn't be happier.Edit 2/28/33: Bought my third stand. Problem is it was never delivered but the seller said it was. Amazon was great and quickly refunded my money when the seller complained and was non-responsive. I'll order again but from a different seller.These stands are great, sturdy, heavy and stable. Added an InLineFabrication quick change heads to the other 2 Jet stands I currently have. Lets me quickly switch between various grinders, buffers, vises, anvils and other heavy items that need a solid base. I have a Dillon 1050 reloading machine mounted on one, perfect height and rock solid

The stand arrived quickly, and was very well packaged. I needed a heavy stand to support my grinders, and this stand met, and exceeded, my expectations !It's pricey, but worth every penny. You get what you pay for. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

This stand is very heavy, and well constructed. The only reason I took off a star is that quality control could be better. I had to use a Dremel tool to slightly open up two of the holes in the cast iron base so the bolts would line up, and I had to chase all 4 base plate mounting holes with a1/2"-13 tap. I imagine most people buying this will have those tools and the know-how to do this if needed. For this price, you shouldn't have to. That being said, it is a very nice stand, heavy, and solid construction. Even the underside of the castings was painted, which I wasn't expecting. Amazon did a great job of delivering this for as heavy as it was. The box wasn't even dented.

SolidPerfect stability for you jet buffer you don’t need to bolted down very heavy and solid

I bought a cheaper three legged stand maybe a week before I bought this stand. The cheaper stand was okay but really needed to be bolted down to floor with the way it walked around when I put my grinder on it. This Jet stand. WOW. You definitely get what you pay for. Its not cheap but it is good and heavy and sturdy. I could not afford to buy two of these stands so I bought a piece of plate steel, bolted the plate steel on top of stand and the stand now holds my grinder and 2 x 48 inch belt sander at the same time. Very strong stand, nothing I can find to say bad about it other than kind of pricey but was worth it.

This is a VERY heavy, stable platform for any tool against which you push hard, like a large grinder or a large buffing wheel. It is almost all heavy cast iron except for the column, which is a sturdy fabricated steel piece. Will buy another when I need it. Heaviest one of its type I've seen, and I have decades of machine shop experience.

Good stand. Very sturdy and pretty heavy even without adding sand.
