Zinus Luis Quick Lock 14 Inch Metal Platform Bed Frame with Headboard / Mattress Foundation / No Box Spring Needed, Queen

I looked for a while and finally decided on this bed because it was all metal, including the slats that support a mattress. It arrived in one long narrow (heavy) box. I have no assembly skills but my 70 year old dad and I put it together in about an hour and a half. No extra tools needed, everything comes in the box. I recommend just hand tightening bolts until everything is put together. I don't know if a piece was mis-labeled, or we just didn't follow the instructions correctly, but we had to re-do the head board section of the bed. It is quiet. I rolled and jumped around on it and it didn't squeak at all. I love the modern clean look to it.

Before buying the Zinus Quick Lock Platform Bed I read thru the reviews, and was apprehensive because of all the comments concerning mattress slippage. There were a few solutions which seemed to work. So I searched Amazon for rug grippers that prevent rugs from sliding around. I really like the metal slats that fit in place on both sides of the bed. Makes things very secure, much more than the wood slats, I imagine. Took a while to put together but following the instructions worked well. Very happy with these purchases.

The bed looks nice but my mattress slides right off. there is no lip for the mattress to stay in place. If you get in bed at a normal speed you are going to slide the mattress half way off not meaning too.

As someone else said the box is heavy, about 65 pounds and about seven feet long. The frame was well packaged and double boxed. It was very easy to put together. I laid out all the pieces in the general area each one would be and from that point it only took 30 minutes to assemble it by myself. The bed is very sturdy and makes no noise. There are nine legs to the bed for a sturdy feel. This might cause issues for some people who like to store large objects under the bed. I have noticed a few times I have knocked (ouch) the center side leg while making the bed.If you are going to put the headboard right against the wall you might need some pads or stoppers to put on the headboard frame to keep it from marking the wall. The screws sick out a little in this area. Some activities might cause a few marks on the wall. Okay, we had to repaint the wall :~)I do like the height of the bed so no box spring is needed. For myself I have a sleep number mattress and it is very light weight and it moves around on the frame too much. I reached out to the company via their website and they never replied. I could have called but decided to put one of those non-sliding rug pads under the mattress. It works fine.Overall I am very happy this this frame and the simple look of it.

I've gone through 3 bed frames trying to find the perfect fit. This is it. I have a small guest room, so I wanted something that was exactly the size of a queen mattress, and no more. I was willing to pay any price, but it's amazing how difficult it is to find this. Lo and behold, here it is at a really great price. I also didn't want wood again because the center support on those are always so delicate and I move the bed this way and that quite often to move things around. Each time, I had to crawl under the bed and re-adjust the center support to make sure it was positioned just right. Not so on this model. It stays exactly where intended and is sturdy under the bed.Assembly was incredibly easy. Everything lined up exactly right if you make sure to lay out all your pieces first and make sure everything is going in the right place. Read all instructions first, otherwise you make assumptions and use the wrong piece. I found the labels on the pieces to be very helpful so when I did have a questions about which piece to use, I could just line up the labels with the instructional drawings.This was great and it doesn't look cheap even though it was inexpensive.

I'm very satisfied with the frame. It does slide your mattress around a bit so I used grip tape that is used for skateboards and stick them onto the frame so my bed doesn't slide around. Thats why I'm giving it a 4* because the frame isn't designed for the bed to sit in place and not slide around. Great price BTW extremely sturdy also.

Exactly as pictured. Lots of parts, but don't let that scare you. It reminded me of buying/assembling things from Ikea. I read that it takes awhile to put together but it only took me and my boyfriend about 30 minutes to assemble. The directions are kind of hard to follow, but you can just lay out the pieces according to the picture and it isn't really that hard to figure out where everything goes. I bought mine as an Amazon Warehouse deal. It was obviously a return, but everything was still sealed and in great condition. I love it. Very modern and seems really sturdy and well made. Lots of storage space under the bed too. I do see what people mean about the mattress slipping. I don't think it's really an issue though. My mattress is a Zinus memory foam and it's heavier than most spring mattresses so it seems to stay in place for the most part.

I read a lot of reviews on this bed frame, and while the negative reviews had me concerned, I decided to roll the dice and give this frame a try because I liked its style.I'm glad I did. It went together with relative ease, although I used my own hex key tool instead of the ones included with the frame because mine is better. I'm a guy in his late 20s and in relatively good shape, and I put this together alone in a matter of 45 minutes.It feels solid, doesn't squeak, all the appropriate hardware was included in the box, and the instructions were a breeze to follow.I read about people having trouble with their mattresses slipping off. So far, mine stays in place without a problem.So far, it looks great, feels sturdy, and was a good price. I'm happy and recommend it.

Bed was very easy to assembly. seems very sturdy and has yet to let any squeaks go.The instruction were ok except the parts are numbered and the illustrations use letters. It was not hard to figure out 1 goes to 1, 2 goes to 2, etc.The tools they provide last just long enough to assembly the frame(edged of allen wrench strip) so I would suggest snugging everything up before final tightening.

Great, it is as described in picture. Package is quite huge and heavy. So if you’re not home package will be left outside.
