As someone else noted, this is a BT40 and not a CAT40. so the pull stud thread pitch is metric instead of imperial. No fault of the seller there, just be aware of what you're buying. But my package also didn't come with any APMT1604 inserts that it was advertised to include. If I didn't need to start using it the same day I received it, I would've returned it. Fortunately I also ordered my own inserts separately or that would've left me up the proverbial creek. You get what you pay for. For this low price, just a bt40 taper tool holder and face mill is not a bad price I guess. The surface finish is not bad for this insert profile, when a conservative feedrate is used. I have not tried hogging with it yet but based on the insert geometry and smaller diameter closer to 2", probably will perform well on a 5hp or higher machine.

Did not come with cutting inserts like advertised, head did not bolt securely to cat40 holder. I had pullstuds already but the threads didn't match so that was the final negative and decided to return it.
