DeLonghi Pinguino 3-in-1 Room up to 600 Sq. Ft. Portable Air Conditioner, Black

Bought this unit at Costco... easy to install, cools down my huge living room and feels great!! I keep the window shades pulled to do very large windows facing the west where the sun beats hard..... I just followed the instructions and had it up and running in 10 min.

The air conditioner seems to work well for our needs. We live in the Colorado mountains where it does not get very hot but have had the windows shut due to forest fire smoke and need to cool a Southern facing office only during the day.The box arrived looking rather beat up, but that's probably on the shipper. There is battery acid all over the remote and packaging making it useless. The unit is supposed to include washable filter, but calling it a filter is ridiculous. It is simply a flimsy plastic structure covered in screen that snaps into the intake grille of the unit. I tried to call DeLonghi at their support line and I was on hold for one hour before I gave up. It's unfortunate to return a purchase based on a defective remote but after spending this much money and getting zero product support that's exactly what is going to happen.

This is an effective air conditioner. I would give it 5 stars if it were only a little quieter. It was easy to install. I have a window that swings out and had a piece of plexiglass cut to cover the portion of the window that has to remain open. It is working very well with my set up.

The media could not be loaded. Won't cool down a 12x14x9 room during the day, then sometimes the unit will start like haveing a seizure it will dance around jump/ Shake and move I don't know what's wrong with it, maybe it's possessed by a ghost, maybe a window unit would 've been better than a portable. FYI i live in deep South Texas,
