dog boots

We love these shoes. Our 2-year-old golden, Ozzy, doesn't mind them, either 🤣 We're fortunate in that our dogs have never given us any real grief about wearing shoes. Ozzy took a couple of brief sessions to get used to them, and now that we're in the middle of 90+ degrees F here in Arizona, he needs to wear them for afternoon walks. The shoes go on easily, and he can walk in them with no problem. He does occasionally stumble slightly, but that's more likely because of his trying to walk normally and not accounting for the slight gap near the toes. He doesn't fight to get them off, and he's never had issues. Occasionally, the shoes do get twisted, and we have to stop and adjust them, but that's minor. They seem comfortable for him, and they save his feet from burning on the hot sidewalks and pavement. Highly recommended!

Really like these shoes and bought them regularly for our older dog who passed away. They have good grip and traction and they're relatively easy to put on. I really appreciate that they have two straps to keep them secure and the velcro makes it adjustable. I'll also add that the bottoms of them never wore out on us even with daily walks on concrete. If your dog has DSM or drags their feet however, the tops do wear out because it's made of canvas fabric. Even so, a pair of these would last us a few weeks at least and that was with our pup dragging her hind leg constantly on concrete and inside. If you think about it they actually help up well and the thickness of the soles is great. Also dogs just look very cute in these.

We bought size 2 and size 3 so we could try both on our mini labradoodle, who is 32lbs. His front paws measured 2" width and his back paws measure 1.75" width. Size 2 ended up fitting him best. These shoes worked great for protecting his paws through wet conditions kayaking and walking in creeks. He acclimated pretty easily and they didn't bring him any discomfort from what we observed. We have gone through the creek before and he cut his paw pretty good from not having shoes to protect his paws. These worked great for water, mud and play. ***Important to note: unless you go back into the product listing on Amazon, you won't get reminded that the little embroidered paw on each shoe is intended to be on the outside of their paw, making a left pair and a right pair. Once we figured that part out, the shoes fit our dog much better and worked great!! All in all, we're satisfied with our purchase. (That was the only reason I didn't do 5 stars.) The product could have better user guides to help pet parents. The shoes arrive with no instruction sheet or guide to help you, leaving you to assume you just put them on and go. A simple instruction sheet would be beneficial.

This is probably a suitable and very good product for many dogs and many (outdoor) uses. The shoes seem to be really durable, which is why I bought them. But, with our dogs and with indoor use, we encountered two big practical problems: 1. As it turns out, both of our dogs' front feet are larger than their back feet by a full size. We bought shoes that fit the bigger feet, but those shoes quickly and repeatedly fall off of the smaller feet. That problem is conceptually navigable, as we could just buy two sets of different-sized shoes for each dog. But, that's obviously suboptimal, and since the shoes all look alike, it would be annoying to keep track of which pair of shoes go on which dog and which feet on that dog. 2. We bought these shoes for indoor use. We had our hardwood floors resurfaced, the contractor recommended that our dogs wear something on their feet for 30 days while the coating cures, and we've continued to have the dogs wear something. That said, on these shoes, the hooks of the Velcro are outward facing and exposed. So, when the dog sits or lays down on a throw rug or mat (a) the Velcro sticks to the rug or mat, and (b) when the dog gets up, either the shoe will come off, or worse, the Velcro frays (damages) the rug or mat. This was ultimately the dealbreaker for us. This issue could be remedied by a change in the design, but right now, it's a big problem. If you're using these things outside, it probably isn't an issue.

These boots are well-constructed and durable. Velcro fasteners stay put, and the fit was perfect for my Labrador retriever. I sometimes hike with her in fields thick with briars (after mowing). In the fall when the fields are mowed, it's pretty easy for her to get thorns in her paw pads. These boots do the trick for protecting her paws in these situations. They also have good tread, and once she got used to them, I saw no issues with her running around and doing her usual stuff, even swimming. Another use for these boots is to keep a dog from bothering a paw that is injured. With active, outdoor dogs, it is inevitable that minor injuries will occur. I have treated my dog a couple of times for cuts, and found a boot to be ideal for protecting while cuts heal. I can clean the wound, apply an antibiotic, and with a boot on, the wound is protected. These boots would also be a good choice for dogs walking on hot surfaces like sidewalks in urban areas. Many folks are unaware of how easy it is for a dog's pads to be injured in this way. Likewise, in frigid, snow and ice conditions, a dog's paws can be easily damaged. All in all, these boots are a very nice product, that do what they are supposed to do. Highly recommended.

I measured and ordered boots for my pitbull. It took her a few times to get used to the but now that she gets it, we can finally take her out for walks without her holding up her paws in pain. She gallops through the snow and they stay on. I’m very impressed! You have to strap them on tight but they work and now my girl isn’t suffering in the snow anymore. I recommend!

Got these for my 92lb German Shepherd because his paw was knuckling and needed to protect it. Overall my dog got good use out of these but we struggled with them twisting & turning or fell off. The velcro closures were adjustable & that was helpful but hard to get fur out. Washable. Bottom line, dogs are not made for shoes so I doubt there’s a perfect product. Overall, they fit him well & with some patience they served their purpose. Treads seemed to wear fast but he only needed 1 so the got rotated. My boy passed this year & I gave them away, but if I were to purchase these again I would try a longer booty that fits around both his leg & foot to see if that makes a difference.

They were not the right size kept falling off my dogs feet and making him trip while walking was hoping these would work for his bush walks but no goodm

Easy return. Too small for my dog.

Seem like sturdy quality but too short for our German Shepherds front paws. The ankle straps tighten on his dew claws and fall off as a result.
