Don't leave home without it!
We purchased two of these Cressi Supernova Dry snorkels plus Cressi masks in addition to one full face mask for a trip to Hawaii. If you can make space in your luggage, I highly recommend bringing your own snorkel and mask: it is WAY CHEAPER and the quality is WAY BETTER. This snorkel worked extremely well for for both the experienced adults and inexperienced kids. The mouthpiece is comfortable and provides a good seal. Most importantly the snorkel did not take on water while diving below the surface or snorkeling through choppy conditions. If you buy it in a set with a mask it comes with a very useful carrying bag. Spraying the masks with a solutions of baby shampoo diluted with water, than rinsing in fresh water kept the masks from fogging up and allowed us to snorkel comfortably at least half an hour without stopping to reset our equipment. My younger child preferred the full face mask as it was much more natural to breath. The disadvantage of the full face mask is that it takes up a lot more room in your luggage and it is difficult to clear if it fogs up or gets water in it and it is more difficult to dive down. On the other hand, the full face mask makes for some hilarious photos out of water, but my daughter felt much less dorky in the Cressi snorkel and mask. Both masks enabled my kids to snorkel in the outer reef of Hanauma Bay comfortably (however they are both VERY experienced ocean swimmers - just new to snorkeling). Finally, it took a couple of tries to unlodge the "dry" mechanism in my daughters snorkel for the first use. Once, we did that, it worked flawlessly.

Excellent
Purchased two of these for trip to Caymans for me and husband. These were excellent. Best snorkeling gear either of us have ever had or used. I never experienced any water in the mouth even in choppy waters or when I dove under water to get closer looks. I did intentionally put some water in and cleared during first day practice run by beach. It is easy to clear. I never had to do that in real use though. Excellent product.

Very dry snorkel, even in rough water.
Bought this for a Hawaii snorkeling trip. Its a great snorkel, that really does not let any water in at all. I bought two, one for me and one for my wife. We used them for about 10 days of snorkeling and they were flawless. We both loved them. I was able to dive down, come up, and have a mostly dry snorkel that took just a small puff to clear, if needed. Also used them in pretty rough water during a trip to Molokini. In the waves, we still have dry snorkels and no issues. We highly recommend these snorkels!

Great Value
Performed very well in salt water snorkel and dive trips. Drains easily from bottom and does a very good job of preventing water intrusion, too.I've had "hyper-dry" snorkels that cost more but really did not perform better. Given the reasonable cost of this, it's an excellent value. Mouthpiece is soft and comfortable.

Great Snorkle!
My kids were taking my snorkel every chance they could. I decided they each needed their own. They are perfect! I have a 7, 9, and 10 year old and they all love them. They each have their own color with matching googles. I took another reviewers advice and went with a colored top so it’s easier to spot my kids on the water.

Fantastic!
Not only is this a fantastic snorkel, but its also much less expensive than others.Ive been snorkeling and scuba diving for 30+ years and had dozens and dozens of snorkels. This is as good as any Ive used. My sons used the same one for 6+ years and its JUST starting to wear out in the mouth piece (but he also bits it awful). Not much you can say about a snorkel, it is what it is. This is a "dry" snorkel, which means there is a float valve in the tip of the snorkel so if you dive underwater, the ball seals up the inlet so you dont have to "clear" it when surfacing (to "clear" a snorkel means when it fills with water you have to give it a hard blow to get all the water out and breath. With this one you can take a breath, dive, exhale a little here and there, pop back up and start breathing.Fantastic snorkel, buying another right now so I felt compelled to write a review.

Worked great for awhile
Worked great for awhile, but after a few months the reed dried out and it will not seal anymore. For the price it is still a good buy. Perhaps if you took a little better care of it than I did it would last longer.

So nice compared to a regular snorkel!
The difference is simply amazing versus a regular snorkel. You don't have to blow the snorkel anymore. You can start breathing in the snorkel as soon as you come to the surface. Wow, what a relief!Very nice and bold color (got the black & red one). The silicone is very flexible, the mouth feel is good, fits well. The quick release clip on the mask is a nice addition too.I did not have any leak issue from the dry valve.

Excellent, highly recommended. Best snorkel i ever had!
Bought these to replace our previous snorkels, for a trip to French Polynesia.I never paid much attention to snorkels before, thought of them as just a pipe to breath through. So as I lost my previous one and my wife’s one leaks all the time, we decided to get new ones. I was shocked to see how expensive snorkels are, but after looking around for a bit, I came across these.CAD$35 I believe, which seemed quite reasonable. Was a bit sceptical, if they would ok, since they were so much cheaper.Have used them every day on our trip, snorkelling and while diving, and have to say that they are pretty fantastic!! The “dumping-feature” is particularly nice. If I dive down, and stay a little bit too long, which I often do, the snorkel would dump the water by the time you reach the surface, so you can breath right away and don’t have to blow out the water first. Big thumbs up.Fits comfy in the mouth, doesn’t leak in water slowly, clears easily. It has a flex tube at the bottom end, so it will fit anyone’s face nicely. Extensively tested, and highly recommended.

My Best Snorkel and I tried many
I swim laps and I also swim open water across the lake and back. I swim for cardio fitness and muscle toning. With a snorkel I can take breaths much easier without losing speed. Easier on my arthritis neck.I tried several snorkels and this one is the champ. Super easy to blow out any water. Also rarely does take in water. Also allows me to breathe very fast when I need to. Very comfortable in the mouth. Some swimmers use a full face mask but I hate that. I like using my swim goggles and the snorkel only.No head strap included so I made a nice headband from a thin piece of Velcro. I put on my goggles first and then this snorkel. Then no problems putting the goggles on my forehead when I need to.I have tried the swimmer's snorkel that sits in the middle of your face and it was horrible because I breathed in alot of water, and not enough air coming through.

great for snorkelling
I bought 3 like this for my kids but I tried it. It has a ball inside to prevent the water from getting in. Great for kids or beginers to stay on the surface(the water doesn't go in, but not good for freediving unless you take it out of your mouth when descending. The ball will trap air inside the tube and creates a vacuum effect that sucks the air out of your mouth. My GF uses the same one when spearfishing but like I said, you have to spit out the mouth piece when going below 10'. Mouth piece is very comfortable and air flow is perfect. Great quality. Enjoy
