Beatles for Classical Guitar: Guitar Solo

Got it as a gift for my mom has been using it non-stop and has all the hits.

I think this is the best fingerstyle tutorial for The Beatles music suitable for both nylon and steel strung guitars. Beekman's arrangements actually sound like the way they played. There are no lyrics but the music is sufficiently complex and challenging to play as instrumentals. I reckon you will need to be at RGT Grade 4-5 or 'intermediate' level though some of the songs will push you further. It is helpful to download the guide that Beekman has produced subsequent to the book being published. There are no tabs but then, in my opinion, to fully appreciate accent and timing you need to read notation. There is no CD but Beekman has uploaded a number of his arrangements on YouTube plus other guitarists have performed his arrangements. I would love Beekman to produce a Volume 2 or to arrange songs by Bob Dylan and Paul Simon. He has arranged Neil Diamond's work but sadly this is not in print.

ビートルズのギターソロ曲集というと、だいたいどの楽譜でも掲載曲が似通っているものですが、この楽譜は他の曲集にはあまり載らない曲が多いです。P.S.I LOVE YOU とか FOR NO ONEとか。あまりファンじゃない人だと知らないかもしれない曲がたくさん含まれていて、ビートルズ好きの私は嬉しいです。ビートルズの楽譜を何冊か買うと、かなり曲がかぶっていることが多いので。そして逆に LET IT BE と かHEY JUDE とか、誰もが知っている曲が載っていない。でも、そういうのは既に持っている他の曲集に必ず含まれていて、同じ曲が載っていると損をした気すらするのでかえって良いです。価格もお得だと思います。前の方が書いていらっしゃるように、タブ譜がないのですが、私には良い勉強になります。

Each of the arrangements gives a point of interest for an intermediate guitarist. They could be used as part of an instructional program. Enough content to intrigue while being close to sight-readable
