I have a few bento boxes that I got for my grandkids and myself. They are nice to have when we go on a picnic lunch. I had no idea that they made silicone ones. If I had known that I definitely would not have invested in my plastic ones. I prefer silicone because it is BPA free but also free of all the other chemicals that plastics can carry. Another unique quality of the silicone is that you can heat it or freeze it and you don’t have to worry about chemicals seeping into the food.The sections of the bento box are actually stiff enough that they do not fall in and even under the weight of food they stay perfectly straight. There’s one large section and two smaller areas. This works great for a sandwich and two sides. The top is softer but it has a seal on it that really grabs the silicone bento box. It’s a very sturdy Bento box. The sloth on the front is adorable. I try to get as many gender neutral things for my house as I can so I can always use them for my little boy or my little girl grandkids. The sloth works for this. He has a little heart as his nose and a pretty blue tummy.I am pleased with the silicone and I definitely think that having a different animal for each grandchild would be a great way to ‘label’ them. Each child could know which one is theirs and easily be able to grab their bento box from a cooler. This would be beneficial for back to school lunches as well.

The 3 Sprouts Silicone Bento Box is an adorable container to bring meals or snacks on the go. The box is made entirely of silicone. The peach colored box is made of a firm silicone that doesn't fold down when you press on it and holds its shape very well. The lid is made from a slightly more rigid silicone with a softer silicone around the edge of the lid for easy removal. I like how the lid fits very securely on the base and creates a firm seal. I haven't had any issues with leakage except when I put on the lid without "burping" the container - if you have too much air caught in the container, it can accidentally pop open on a corner. The lid is molded so that it creates a seal on each of the individual partitioned area, so foods will stay separate with no worries of foods mixing. It's a good size for a meal for my kids and is about the right size for a small meal for most adults. The container is easy to wash, doesn't seem to stain easily (I have not put heavily staining foods like spaghetti with tomato sauce in it yet), and the adorable llama on top hasn't shown signs of chipping off. I didn't particularly like the red dot on the lid with the 3 Sprouts logo on it and thought it looked like I accidentally left an advertising sticker on top. The bright red logo, along with the fact that the box is fairly heavy, are the two things that keep this box from being consider "perfect". This box is even heavier than a metal bento, and while it's not so heavy that it's tiring to carry, it is heavy enough where my daughter complains about the weight of it in her backpack with all her other stuff. Those issues aside, this is a really cute lunch bento and is worth checking out if you're looking for an adorable silicone bento box that stores food well.

I ordered the Lion version of this silicone bento box, and it's so cute! It's made of thick, sturdy silicone. Getting the lid sealed isn't too hard - but this is something I'd probably pack snacks in and carry in my diaper bag, rather than sending it to school with little kiddos.My husband took it to work the other night and tried to pack baked beans in one of the compartments, and the individual compartments will leak into each other if you tilt the box at all. He had an oozy baked bean mess in all the compartments by the time he got to work.So overall it's great, just don't pack anything sloppy / soupy in it!

This is a really cute, well made lunch box. 3 Sprouts never disappoints. We got the pink llama box for our 3 year old and she loves it. It is easy for her to use (which was very important to me) and has deep compartments, so I can fit a lot of different foods into it. I can add a pouch or a wrapped bar into the largest longest part. The ONLY thing I don't care for is the bright red dot with the name brand on the front. It kind of takes away from the cute look and appears as if it's a sale sticker or something that can be removed - it cannot. I think a new design would be better, even just to put the logo on the back. Other than that, great little box.

$30 for a lunchbox (Bento Box)???Well, how about one that will last longer than anyone alive right now and also can be microwaved, dish-washed and probably cooked in the oven for a while??I don't know. I don't know about any of that stuff. I just love the Yeti and want to spend lunch with my Yeti friend every day.In all seriousness, the silicone is thick and flexible and the seal is great - it's a high quality item. Easy to clean by hand (no hard to get areas other than the seal area in the lid which can be pressure washed clean, but also the silicone folds back enough to get a good scrub in there.Some dimensions (inner):3.9in x 4.8in - big compartments.3.8in x 2.4in - smaller compartments.And also.... YETI!!!

This is a cute lunchbox and decent size but an FYI that it’s hard to close and open, or it’s hard to close properly for my 4 year old.

This is a very cool design but it is larger than expected and my kids have had a difficulty opening and then closing it properly so I do not recommend this for kids under 6 years old.
