Good one handed hammer for steel frame demolition.
I'm a commercial construction worker and I use this for my secondary hammer, adze is my primary. I have had no problems drawing or returning this hammer to or from my DEWALT DG5139 Heavy-duty Hammer Holder on a Style n Craft 74-052 2-Inch Work Belt. I can flick the head upwards and catch the handle in one motion. I have read that another consumer has had problems with it catching and snagging on his metal loop. I do agree with the snagging when drawing the hammer, but with a small adjustment to the positioning of my hammer holster, all is well. At first it would get caught in both directions. Then I moved the holster forwards closer to the side of my hip and it glides out without a hitch. No double or triple grabbing and no leg massaging with the handle upon return (missing the loop). I'm very pleased with comfort as well. I hit steel, concrete and sheet rock 5 nights a week and haven't had any hand pain what so ever. I have felt a vibration in the hammer when holstering it after a solid hit, but not when using it. That proves the hammer does what it says it can do, at least to me. I do wish the claw was a little flatter, but it does pry shots from the deck pretty easily, when prying sideways.Over all I'm very pleased with this hammers performance, durability and comfort. I do recommend this product to any building wreckers or laborers who are looking for a hip hammer. I'm also going to purchase the Stanley 51-169 28-Ounce FatMax Xtreme AntiVibe Rip Claw Framing Hammer here for $22.89, that's a steal.2021 update for 28oz FatMax Xtreme - As most of my work hammers do. After 6 years of demolition it cracked down the middle of the head. It lasted a lot longer than the company issue Estwing. I think it broke while cleaning the ceiling deck shots. Still works, but will buy a new one for safety reasons.Great hammer, especially the curved handle. It provides a good grip when in tight spaces and you have to flick it. Been using FatMax since 2012

Great Hammer
Great durable lightweight hammer. Purchased as a gift - he loves it. Claw part works well.

Great hammer
So the last time I really owned a framing hammer was when I graduated high school and was framing houses in AZ. That was over 20 years ago. I bought this to frame some rooms in some living quarters in Afghanistan...and wow have times changed. It has a magnet to hold a nail to tap it in, then you can just slam it in no problem. I can't really compare it to other framing hammers, but for me...this hammer is great! Good weight, the claw works well, and the nail loader...awesome. I never thought much about hammer technology, but I'm glad Stanley did. Great buy!

Nice addition to the tool arsenal
I had a small room to frame up in a garage for a laundry room, so I decided to pick this little guy up. I normally would use a framing nailer but for a small project like this I thought I would check out this framing hammer. It swings very good and drives 16 penny nails like a champ. Honestly it's not that heavy or hard on the arm. The grip is pretty good but I could see it wearing out with extended use, but for my purpose it's a nice tool to have in my arsenal.

Sexy hammer 4 my carpal tunnel wrist!
I used to frame houses professionally for about a year. I developed carpal tunnel in my right wrist while swinging a mini-sledge laying a hardwood floor. Now I'm a DIY guy & take the occasional side jobs. I bought this sexy ass 28oz hammer on amazon after seeing a lighter one in a store. I recently used it to frame two walls & build shelves 12ft long by about 8ft tall. This hammer sunk each nail it touched with ease, AND I HAD NO PAIN IN MY WRIST OR HAND! I don't know how they did it, but this hammer is EXCELLENT at reducing shock to your hand & wrist. I told my wife that I wanted to have sex with the hammer (a joke, but I actually said it).As far as the handle snagging on a metal ring on your tool belt.... I use an old cheap belt. I'm right handed so I keep the hammer loop just to the right of center, over my right but cheek. Never had a problem. I flick the hammer up, & slide it back in with ease. Over, & over again. :pThe magnetic nail guide/holder does work, but takes some getting used to. You can't just slam it in there. Tap the magnified nail in there gently the first time to set it, then slam away. ;)Anyway, I absolutely love this hammer & highly recommend it.

They used to make them out of wood - This is an improvement
A long time ago, they used to make the handles for hammers out of wood. Now I don't know what they use for the handle, but they claim to be AntiVibe. I cannot tell the difference. This hammer is BIG! It weighs a lot. I believe it's well made too. Overall, no complaints. It's a heavy hammer
