Making Natural Felt Animals

I found this book very helpful as it focuses largely on wet felting, which is wonderful in combination with my needle felted creations. I found the information a little scattered, particularly the instructions in the beginning, I had to skip around a lot to piece the information together. I literally had to take notes! That said, I so appreciate this information being shared and I did find it very useful, you just have to work at it a bit to understand the instructions thoroughly. This is information I have not seen elsewhere. There are definitely photos lacking in key areas to really explain what should be happening, but I’m really pleased I have this in my library.

This book did not disappoint!!! I love The Felt Farm so I knew this one would be just as detailed and creative. Excellent.

Great book for getting ideas

Somewhat disappointed. Nothing new about the techniques used in this book. Read cover to cover in less than an hour. Repetitive, vague instruction. Wet, squeeze, rub, and repeat (I just saved you $25). Pictures are pretty.

It is a great book but it is WET felting and that was not mentioned in the description if it had been I would not have bought it.

This book is a big disappointment to me. It’s not what I thought it was going to be. I have done lots of needle felting but this book uses the ‘fulling’ technique which entails using lots of soapy water. My hands and fingers would not stand up to being constantly wetted , they would soon resemble sandpaper. It’s not possible to use rubber gloves. Please research ‘fulling’ before you buy. My own fault, I should have researched the book and author before I ordered it. I’m going to try to re-sell the book.

I love the easy to follow instructions and the well presented photographs of the finished products.At the start of the book each model is graded to show reader what Felt project would be suitable at starting level. this book makes an ideal gift fo give to family and friends.

Interesting book. Techniques very good decribed. Can't wait trying these out.

Absolutely lovely creatures and they are very lifelike when made, I have enjoyed making the three I have so far, but one has to read the instructions carefully.

Didn’t realise it was using the wet felting technique so a little disappointed but I can use it as a guide line.
