How to connect them….
I will share my learning!!!….so that you hopefully don’t have 3 hours of frustration!!!!These actually work!!!….you just need to know how to connect them1. Cut the LED strip VERY CLOSE to the metal connection dots (see photo)2. Peel off adhesive backing (so sticks in the unit)3. Lift up lid to 90 degrees…..don’t worry it won’t snap - Push quite hard to put LED end in as far as it will go - snap down lid (this can be done by hand) you should see connection with points in unit4. Cut wire to length (I found it easier to have 2 separate wires when units very close together)5. Lift lid to 90 degrees. Push wire in other end of unit as far as it will go along the channels and snap shut (I needed to use pliers to ensure it shut) and close FIRMLY - this should pierce the wire(Don’t try stripping or bending the wire - I tried this for hours and it didn’t work)Fingers crossed this should work for you tooIt was easier to do before trying to fix in place and I added double sided tape to the back of the unit to keep it secureHope this helps???😊😊

Takes patience to get working OK
There are two parts to this package - the wire and the wire to led connectors. The wire is good - low voltage and colour coded. It works well with the idc connectors and only needing the the two conductors split apart for a centimeter before positioning into the connector. To finish the wire connction just requires a pair of pliers to clip the cover permanently in place. This worked for every connector I used. The connector to the LED tape is another matter. It is not very reliable!. First the instructions say to remove the self adhesive protection from the back of the tape, but it is very adhesive and sticks to the connector very easilly and the only way i could use it was to leve the backing in place. I then inserted the tape and closed the cover only needing finger pressure to close the cover. The connector has two prongs that pierce the tape through the copper connector pads at the end of the tape.About half of the connctions worked fine, but the rest needed the tape to be flexed back and forth for the connction to work but the tape has to be in the right position to keep working. I used hot melt glue sqirted in the connector around the tape to hold it in place. In the end I only had one connctor completely fail.Having made all my connections I left the led tape illuminated to test its durability and after o few hours one led strip dimmed and despite all my efforts I could not get it to connect properly. To overcome this problem I experimented with soldering and foud the tape easy to solder to wires connected to the power supply cable and the pads on the tape which worked well with all the led tape fully iluminating. With the advantage of hindsight I would now just solder wires directly to the tape - but you need a fine solderig iron and a modicum of manual dexterity to make the connections. It's worth trying thes connectors as they offer a quick and simple method to install the led tape, but be ready for having to fix any dodgy connections.Overall the package is good value as it includes both wire and connectors.

Lights look good but unused.
Unfortunately the lights did not do what I wanted them for. This is not a manufacturing fault but my own. These lights appeared to be good and came with the extension connectors.

DON'T BUY THESE! - They are useless and will drive you insane!!!
While the connectors look simple and straightforward, and should work well, in practise they are useless. To get the LCD side of the connector to work I found after securing the connector I had to open it up again and using a very small screwdriver had to press the LCD strip full down and through the connector pins to actually get them to work. As for the wire side, that is far worse. I have spent the entire day trying to get just one connector to work. The pin does not penetrate the sheath of the wire so does not make contact with the wire, and even when pressing really hard down on the connector, or trying to remove some of the sheath and expose the wire and wrap it round the try to get a contact it is just so hit and miss. I must have opened up the clip at least 30 or 40 times to re-do it and never managed to get all four wires to work.Clip looks good and solid enough, but to get it to work is almost impossible. I am going to look for another type now, I think if I spend any longer trying to get the first connection to work I am going to end up jumping out of a top floor window.

Good wire, awful connectors
Connectors were the main reason for buying this, might be the worst thing I’ve ever bought. Wire is decent quality or it’d be a 1/5. Save yourself the headache and solder them.

Incredibly fickle
The connectors appear robust enough. The wire supplied looks fine. The issue is that they just don’t make a good connection.Fiddled for hours trying to get all 3 colours to light up. The slightest touch and then one will drop out , despite the teeth of the connector clearly going through the copper connection on the strip.Endlessly frustrating.

Just a pile of scrap
Wasn't able to use this product as connections were of such poor quality. Had to throw them in the bin. Now I have lost my money
