So it’s been quite a few months since I’ve owned this headset and all I can say is buy it. I’ll keep this review as short and sweet as possible. I purchased these once I started to get more serious into my gaming. I mostly play call of duty so having a decent set of headphones so you can hear things like footsteps/gunfire in the distance is really important and these change the game for me. I can hear people coming a mile off, I always hear things in game that my team cannot and I always tell them it’s this headset, I can hear grass grow. I purchased the wired version as I don’t really prefer wireless headsets for gaming purposes as the console is so far away from my seating, the design is sleek. The build is good quality. The padding on the ear is very comfortable. It never pains my ears. The padding on the top of the headset is good too. It doesn’t press down onto my head uncomfortably. I love that the ears can rotate to lay flat. The colour is very aesthetically pleasing and does not change drastically over time. There’s a slight discolouration as with anything white but nothing noticeable. It keeps very well. The headset comes with a volume control on the headset itself and a inbuilt mic which works very well. Everyone always says they can hear me clearly, which is definitely a bonus. I can’t sing enough praise about this headset. I don’t regret buying it. That is why I wanted to keep them for a period of time before reviewing them, I’ve also recommended them to my gaming group and know of at least one person who have purchased it since then. The noise cancellation is decent also nothing that I could complain about, sound quality is very saturated. Overall, I’d say for a mid range priced headset I approve it and I recommend it.

The Corsair HS65 is really comfortable (I wear glasses and the clamping force is comfortable enough to stay put but without squishing my head or my glasses). The audio quality is fantastic. I use it with the 3.5mm socket on my Xbox Series X controller. I personally wanted to avoid a wireless headset, which would be one more device to keep charged and generally tend to work best with specific devices (I switch back and forth with these between Xbox, PlayStation, PC and Switch so 3.5mm is king).Build quality is top notch, cable is thick(ish) and sturdy without being overly bulky. Flip to mute mic works well, with a little tactile notch to click into place. Using this with Dolby Atmos for Headphones on Xbox (software DSP that doesn’t need specific headset support) works well in FPS games for hearing the locations of opponents.Overall a great headset if you want to avoid going OTT with RGB and wireless.The one time my old HS60 had mic issues years ago, Corsair support were fantastic and sent me a free replacement. No guarantee they can always extend this courtesy out of warranty but they’re quite a good company to deal with.I bought this as a replacement for a Turtle Beach Elite Atlas Pro after the plastic connecting the earcup to the headband had become brittle and snapped after a couple of years of use. To their credit, Turtle Beach also sent my replacement magnetic earcups when the material started to degrade, but eventually the embrittled plastic connections failed altogether and I think this was due to a weakness in the design of that model.

After having used a headphone and a mic setup, I was sceptical about using a headset setup but the microphone on this headphone is phenomenal. Of course it wouldn't be professional level and the sort, but for the average everyday user? It works and works beyond what's expected. My voice has always sounded clear and the function to flip your mic up and it disables the mic is ingenius. I realised later that you can just take your headphones off and left it close the mic on its own by falling down, no special keybinds needed just put your headphones down when you need to leave urgently.The sound is very good too, not really much else you need. Sure there are places you can nitpick but that would be at a level far beyond what it was or who the headphone was for.My only issue was that the ear pads were showing wear after only a couple months, I would try to ignore it but it was simply just coming apart. Thankfully there are replacements but only from third party sellers and not corsair. Where corsair officially sells earpads for the hs50/60 but I could not find anything about their compatibility with this headset.The top band is pretty much just as new, so only the earpads will need to be replaced often.Overall, I am happy with this headset, it does not have a removable cable but that is not an issue just unplug and detangle your wire and plug it back every couple days and it will not break.

When this headset was 'put in front of me' by Amazon at the time of the Prime Sale they were totally new to me. Having had problems with headsets in the past, I spent some time reading the Amazon reviews and watching YouTube video reviews, heard the mic, and in a few it sounded better than the reviewers own, so decided to risk it. The sound in sourround sound is amazing, good in stereo via my phone using the jack too, PC gaming enjoyment is much improved, a lot of the sounds I hear now I never heard before in game and the direction of sound is very helpful, music is more enjoyable and having taken the advice of the YouTube reviewers - doing the software sound personalisation for me and setting the Mic Boost up to 3dB etc., which was easy to set up and do - I'm told the mic is very clear and nothing but my voice is heard. I like very much the ability to mute myself by moving the mic upwards, the headset is comfortable, relatively light and the wire is long. I wear glasses and whilst the cups keep them snug they don't cause discomfort. The headset looks and feels good and the sound and quality of the mic is definitely far in excess of expectations.
